Great hike. Carry sunscreen and your camera! Watch for wildflowers and snakes (not necessarily in that order..:)

This is an invigorating fun hike. Steep but short, awesome views and peaceful at the top. Can relax and have lunch on the rocks overlooking the river and Medford. Take lots of water and watch your step as gravel and rocks can be loose. Not a good hike for dogs as rocky and poison oak if they get off the trail.

Great hike up and amazing view when you get up there! You can see the whole Rogue Valley! Bring water and watch for snakes.

Upper Table Rock is a good, leg stretcher of a hike through Black Oak and Madrona trees. I wouldn’t call the hike easy, but it’s certainly not tough. All but really out of shape people will enjoy the 5.5 mile round trip hike. Hiking shoes/boots are not needed, but the trail is fairly rocky toward the top. There is poison oak fairly close to the trail’s edge so stay on the paths. We saw a couple of small snakes (no rattlesnakes) and lots of lizards. The pay off at the top is an outstanding view of Mt. McLaughlin and the Rogue River Valley. Allow around 30 minutes (or more) to soak in the view at the top.

These are both beautiful and well worth the effort. Not much shade on the hike, so don't go when it's super hot. Take lots of water and a camera - the path is easy but gets somewhat steep, especially on the gravel back down. Great way to start a summer day and it's easy to hike in the wee hours (safe enough to see the sunset).
