A good hike through some interesting terrain and when you get to the top the views of the area are spectacular. Definitively not an easy hike but if you are in reasonable shape this is a hike worth doing.

Lower Table Rock has a slightlly shorter but steeper trail; Upper Table Rock, less steep but longer trail. Lower Table Rock has a unique ecosystem on the top with fairy shrimp pools and the remains of an old airstrip. The view from both is fantastic. Parking is good for both but a little limited for Upper Table Rock. Chemical toilets at both parking lots. Fun hikes.

I love this place. It's one of those places everyone who lives here goes to regularly. It gets hot there, and steep. I have seen rattle snakes on the path. It is breathtaking to climb Table Rock and look out. We have a weather condition here, however, that causes smoke to settle in the valley. This condition ruins the view. Aside from that, bring plenty of water and wear long pants. Great place for families and picnics.

Hiking to the top of both of these mesas is challenging for you and your kids. Both are the types of walks that you wonder why you are doing this but are glad you did it when its over. Don't forget to stop at the Touvelle Tavern nearby when you are finished.

We hiked both of the Table Rocks, about 2 weeks apart, and really enjoyed the exercise, the views and the variety of terrain.
