“Come for the atmosphere. Be happy that you did.”
Reviewed November 23, 2013 via mobile

Everyone knows that mcmenamins food is very average. Frankly, it doesn't have to be better because the atmosphere is so freaking cool. Get over your foodie self, go, kick back, drink, eat tots and have a great evening.

Thanks for your review! Tots, a burger, and a beer always sounds like a great evening to me, and I am a foodie!!

“There's a reason the locals call it McMinimums”
Reviewed November 6, 2013

First off, great beer and liquor selection. Food, average. And please don't ask me how I want my burger cooked and then ignore my preference. Medium rare was not what I got, and it was one dried out burger. Kind of ruins the whole experience, you know? We did not visit the rooftop, which is supposed to be quite a view. Nice decor - it's a cool old hotel, at least the lobby and bar area.

“Fun Place to Eat Drink and Be Merry”
Reviewed October 28, 2013

Love the look and feel of this restaurant, bar and hotel. All of the artworks on the walls are a must see and the vintage feel is a lot of fun The rooftop bar is a great place for some fresh air and views. There is also outside seating on the street where it's nice and shady and a great place to people watch. Or sit inside and take in the ambiance of this wonderful vintage venue. The food and drink is good - typical american bar fare.

“Slow, slow, slow”
Reviewed October 27, 2013

Came in for lunch during a road trip around the wine country - should have kept on driving. Went to a bar converted to a restaurant - they should have left it a bar! We waited for someone to take our order once we were given greasy menus. Then, because we ordered coffee instead of booze, they left us alone - for long, long time. So we order soup & sandwich specials. A full 40 minutes later we get both soup and sandwich on a cold plate. The waitress, who was very pregnant, took her time serving and didn't stop by to ask if all was OK - I guess she had to keep on top of the eight local ladies having their monthly get - together and it is hard to walk over two tables to enquire how folks are getting along or if a coffee refill was desired.

Then came the 15 minute wait for our bill. Good thing we were not in a hurry as the whole thing took about an hour and half for the special (God forbid we order something off the regular menu- hours). Would I go back? - never - after this - McMinnville is no longer a stop-over place.

“Roof Top: Eclectic but fun”
Reviewed October 12, 2013

We ate at the Roof Top on top of the Oregon Hotel. It was raining and a Sunday night. It wasn't crowded. We could see the views could be incredible. We enjoyed a slower crowd. The bartenders were the servers. Locals were at the bar. The food is good, average to above average bar food. They let us enjoy our food, wine and evening. We would go back.
