Had a great experience with Gary and Alyssa at Horse Creek. We rented mountain bikes(full suspension, drop seat etc) and used their shuttle service for the McKenzie river trail. Did not stay at the lodge but the property is beautiful and peaceful. Highly recommended!

I'm so glad my group chose Horsecreek Farm for our white water rafting experience. The company is very professional and offers more bang for your buck. First of all I was quite reluctant to go because I'm a wimp for cold water. But Horseceek offers full wet suite and booties to not only keep you dry but warm should you get splashed. The experience was over the top fun and our guide, Elija, was the best of the best!! He was very knowledgable about the river, the mountains and the basic history of the McKenzie River area. This is definitely the company you want to take for your water experience.

Room tip: Didn't stay at the lodge......but it looks like a great place for families and couples.

We just spent three days in the middle of March with the mostly rainy weather, chilly days and nights, and fast flowing river - but, no rain could spoil the beauty of this place. Our cabin/cottage was just right with everything we needed - comfy living room with cable TV and wireless, easy to use kitchen, large bathroom with a GREAT shower, large bed with the luxury of nice linens, and the best of all, a large porch overlooking big trees and a lovely meadow.

Our hosts made sure we had all we needed. They were kind, friendly, and welcoming. We needed to relax and just enjoy the setting, yet they also offered plenty of activities for those seeking more physical activity. You can river raft, hike, bike, and ski.

Whatever you choose to do, you will find that Horse Creek Lodge gives you a comfortable place to return to at the end of the day.

Room tip: You can choose individual cabins that range from one bedroom to larger. There is also a lodge for group get-a-ways.

I have been staying at Horse Creek Lodge for 5 years now, it is 1.5 hours from Bend, Oregon and is the perfect place to get away.
The lodge offers a large Lodge house with huge kitchen, living room, outside grill and fire pit and four bedrooms with tons of beds. It is private and well equipped with everything you might need minus your own food to cook. In addition, there are three cabins with either 1 or 2 bedrooms, also equipped with everything you might need. You can choose to rent the lodge or cabin, or for a big event, the entire place.
Horse Creek Lodge's location is perfect to have quick access to hiking, biking, river rafting, stand up paddle boarding - and the lodge offers many of these activities in house. This is a great place for outdoor enthusiasts to stay, there is even an awesome pump track right on the property. You are also very close to Horse Creek, so although you are surrounded by beautiful trees, you can hear the creek running, which is wonderful background to great sleep every night.
The owners Alyssa and Gary are awesome, very helpful on what to do in the area as well as quick to help when you need something.
Very thankful to have found this place, will continue to visit whenever possible!

Room tip: Bring your bike, or rent from the local bike shop All beds are comfy

When things are done right it just has to be applauded. Allyssa, her staff and family made was feel so at home, even though we were only there one night, she took care of us like we we staying a month. The rooms were perfect. Cottages tucked away in the forest. She helped us book just the right room for our needs. She sent us to probably the most memorable night our entire 16 day adventure. Imagine a hot spring in a national forest, followed by a food truck meal in a courtyard around a campfire, where they give you a blanket to wrap up in while you watch a movie outdoors. The room was super nice and well appointed. The minute we walked in everyone said we want to stay a week, we are not leaving! She helped me plan my route to proxy falls and sisters the next day. So much to see and do here. Don't miss "Horse Creek Lodge"! It's a real oasis.

Room tip: Use this as a base to see proxy shale and koosha Falls, Sisters OR and Cougar hot springs.
