This is the second year in a row that my two sons and I have three days here and it is simply a great place to return to after long days on the river. My boys are in different parts of the country and both can hardly wait to return. Food is good and the room have great décor. I stayed in the fly box and the boys in the drift boat. It's like more like a resort rather than a motel. Thanks for a great stay!

I have been to Maupin many times over the years and remember the park where the motel now sits; what an incredible surprise to find this place here in Maupin; the grounds are charming and the view to the river just plain peaceful; after a day of fishing on the river just the palce to come back to and relax, have a cocktail watching the scenery and then enjoy a nice dinner on the patio over-looking the river.
The rooms are VERY comfortable, big and the scene designs in each one: someone found a great artist to put these theme rooms together.
This is a fabulous place to stop on the way to central or eastern Oregon or coming back to the valley; and not far from the beautiful White River Falls park just above Shears Falls.
Make it a point to stay here if you are in the area. You will NOT regret it
Rick Vogel, Lake Oswego, Oregon

Room Tip: pay the extra $$ and get a room facing the river

Very laid back staff and managers. Had to make our own coffee at continental breakfast and locate most goodies in the Frig. I would like a comfortable chair in the room as I like to read. Had to read in the lounge area which very comfortable. Ding on service is only due to the breakfast situation--maybe a mix up on coverage? Excellent meal and value. Will go back but bring my own chair?

Thank you for your review! Sorry you had to make your own coffee. One of the benefits we provide for our guests is allowing them to access the continental breakfast at unusually early hours since we cater to many fisherman. And, we are a somewhat seasonal business. So in order to keep our rates low but still provide a continental breakfast in our off season, we don't always have a staff member available. However, we always try to have everything set up and ready to go to make it easy for you! Glad you found the lobby comfortable and that your meal in our restaurant was excellent for you.

I've stayed at the Imperial several times and am always pleased. The proprietors obviously make every effort to make your stay memorable, with lots of small touches here and there that show they take pride in their establishment. The view of the Deschutes is stunning...offering world class fly fishing for trout and steelhead. The Imperial is the best hotel in Maupin, but would hold its own in bigger cities as well. The rooms are clean, quiet and with enough room to spread out. The restaurant is also the best in Maupin, but it would be great if they made homemade desserts. They have an excellent wine selection at very reasonable prices. Make your reservations early though, they sell out quickly during the summer months. Thanks Rob and Susie for all your hard work!

Room Tip: River view rooms are the best!

So glad you enjoyed your stay with us again! We have a new chef so we'll let him know that you requested homemade desserts. :) In the meantime, we'll make sure we keep the wine stocked for you!

This was the second time we've stayed at the Imperial River Company. Last time, we were there during a semi-busy season. This time, we stayed in the off season. We were one of very few guests staying at the Inn.

We were treated nicely upon arrival, with all of my questions being answered. He gave me directions as well as information on which stores and restaurants were still open and even called one of the restaurants for me when he wasn't sure. Our room was clean and comfortable. There was no TV but we borrowed a game from the library and also read books. Our room had beautiful views of the river and a deck. The room had a small spa tub (which badly needed its filter cleaned) which was relaxing. We enjoyed the free breakfast the next morning with yogurt, muffins and little sausage sandwiches that you could nuke.

Overall, we had a nice time and would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: The Sportsmen Room has a nice view.

Thank you for returning to stay at the lodge...and for taking the time to write a review! We love to hear about people enjoying our library of games. We'll definitely get that filter cleaned in the tub!
