The coast cabins is a very well managed vacation property. The owners are local and their attention to detail is obvious the minute you arrive. My girlfriend and i were looking for somewhere to stay for our anniversary that was more private and romantic. This is a perfect property for that. The first night was great totally quiet and very romantic. Although on the second night of our stay which was our actual anniversary some other guests arrived with children. The children were running all over being extremely loud while the parents did nothing to try to calm them down this went on as we cooked dinner for a few hours finally stopping around 9pm. Other then the obnoxious children our stay was stellar. Congrats to Gary&Pawel for the work they have put into this place. A definite must stay!

We travelled to Coast Cabins on the recommendations of friends and Trip Advisor reviews for a very special occasion and could not have been more pleased. We're extremely picky tourists and this place was above and beyond what we hoped for. As other reviewers have mentioned, Coast Cabins and its grounds are beautifully appointed yet also cozy and relaxing, as if an extremely thoughtful and meticulous friend with great design taste let you stay in their vacation home. We stayed in the Spa cabin which was a lovely and soothing experience (all hail the sauna and hot tub!) and the kitchen truly is well outfitted. The bedroom even has a beautiful stained glass piece that casts a warm glow when the sun shines. The place is pet-friendly yet also immaculate (very important to us, having had bad experiences elsewhere at supposedly high-end pet-friendly places in the past). In addition to a glass of wine at check-in and a tray of fruit in the cabin, Coast was also welcoming to our dog. We found everything we could need for her: a clean and cozy dog bed, dog pillow, dog blankets, bowls, placemat, and dog towels. We really enjoyed relaxing by the fire pit on the grounds, which seems to always be lit. It's pleasant on its own, but if there are other guests hanging out, it is a great way to meet some of them. Those we met were equally enjoying their stay. We would definitely return to Coast Cabins in a heart beat and recommend it to any and all. Of course, Manzanita itself is a charming little town and a great base for exploring that part of the coast.

Room Tip: Spa Cabin is at the back of the property so road noise is not an issue.

My husband and I are actually staying at the Coast Cabins in Manzanita as I write this review. (Yes, our stay has been so amazing that I couldn't even wait to write this review, and I've never even written one before!) When we arrived for check-in, the woman at the desk offered us a glass of wine, beer, or another drink of choice. Then she walked us to our cabin where we found so many extras waiting for us. Outside, a private hot tub, campfire all ready to start, lounge chairs, and a patio set just for our unit. Inside we found fresh fruit, nuts, chocolate, and even a small S'more kit ready for the campfire. The kitchenette was well stocked and the bathroom had thick fresh towels and good sized quality toiletries. We found white cloth napkins and new placemats, along with many high quality dishes and glassware. There were white spa robes left for us to use for the hot tub, big plush beach towels, and even a big beach bag to take to the sand. We even found an array of puppy items for our dog, including a bed, blanket, Izod towels, a doggy magazine, and dog dishes. Soft music CDs were loaded into the bedroom CD player and it was left playing for us.

The next day, we were greeted across the lawn by a genteman who waved and said hello. Later we sat at the community fire pit, where we were greeted by the same man who turned out to be one of the owners. He offered us another drink of choice to enjoy by the fire, and we had a friendly conversation.

I would recommend this place in a heartbeat. The hospitality was so above and beyond anything we've ever experienced at the coast.

We just spent one wonderful mid-week night at Coast Cabins--Cabin 1. It really lived up to our very high expectations. This isn't a hotel, it's a masterpiece. I have never seen such complete attention paid to every imaginable detail--the appointments, the landscaping are all the finest available. It is flawless--really a work of art. It is not inexpensive--but it's worth every cent. We hope to return soon. We enjoyed walking around town, up and down the beach, riding our bikes, and visiting Oswalt State Park. I loved the rain on the roof and the sound of the surf in the distance.

Room Tip: I would suggest staying in Cabin 3 if available. We stayed in Cabin 1, which is next to the street...

What a surprise to find such a beautifully appointed cottage on the Oregon coast..everything was perfect and so well equipped . The luxurious bed and bath were the best especially during one of those Oregon wind & rain storms. The hosts thought of everything which made for a wonderful visit. We will be back!

The Coast Cabins are charming, tucked away in beautifully landscaped grounds. They range from just enough room for two, to a home-sized unit with all of the amenities. They also manage condos in a development containing retail, a fitness club and a spa, "downtown" in Manzanita. We most recently stayed in one of those. It is very well appointed, with a great kitchen, which is not a bad idea in Manzanita, because restaurants are limited and there is a very good market just up the street. It can be configured for either one bedroom, one bath or two of each, if you need more room. Highly recommended!

Room Tip: Rooms on the south side are quieter.

i love how people complain about their TV not having the shopping channel. YOU'RE AT THE COAST PEOPLE! stay home if you want to watch TV.

there is no better place on the entire oregon coast. period. this is not a USFS fire lookout or cabin. it is Dwell meets DWR. their shampoo and soaps are from London.

yes, you are paying more, but you are getting true luxury. the owners care, and go out of their way to make you feel like you're staying at their actual home (a small note, and a bottle of wine for our anniversary!)
