“Cute little inn!”
Reviewed July 26, 2012

Manzanita accommodations seemed to be more expensive than other towns on the coast, but this inn is a good value. It has an excellent location - about two blocks from the beach and in the heart of town (close to restaurants, a quick walk to the excellent Friday farmer's market and shops). The room opens up to a pretty courtyard with flowers, and the rooms themselves had a seaside chic feel to them. Free wifi. I'd stay here again!

This is an older property but well kept and clean as a whistle. No phones in the rooms but you can Skype on the internet! Manager was very pleasant.

Spindrift Inn in Manzanita was an excellent experience. There are 14 rooms ( we stayed in 4)...decorated like a quaint, seaside cottage. I felt like I was at my grandmother's! There were quilt comforters and shams on the most comfortable beds that I have experienced while traveling. The room was freshly painted, immaculately clean, had a mini kitchen with fridge, microwave, coffee pot. They had placed a basket of not cocoa, coffe, and tea bags in the kitchen, personal grooming items in the bathroom. The shower was awesome...the hottest water ever! There was a flat screen tv, DV players (free current DVD's in the office). there is also a back door to the roo. That opens Ito a flower garden sitting area....lovely for reading, relaxing.

The beach is a block away...easily accessible pathway.

The town has a few small shops.

The pizza place has the BEST pizza that I have ever eaten. They make their own Italian sausage
And crust...delicious!

I was so sorry to be only saying one night. Our family will definitely return for a. Ultiple night stay on our next trip to Oregon.

Our room was clean and looked like it had been painted recently. It was cutely decorated. The bed was comfortable. The only problem was the bar across the street about midnight. It was very noisy outside, which was not the fault of the hotel. I would like to stay here again, but I would ask for a room closer to the southern end of the hotel., The lady at the front desk was friendly and helpful.

My husband and I booked the last remaining room online over Memorial Day weekend and what a pleasant surprise! We could tell by their website that we were not going to be staying in a 5-star type motel, but the Spindrift Inn was just perfect for a get-away weekend. Clean, spacious, nice kitchenette, big flat-screen tv, and 2 pieces of salt-water taffy on a doily on the coffee table. (I love touches like that.) Within walking distance to the beach and cute little shops. Centrally located so we spent one day exploring the coast and came back in time for a nice meal at Marzanos, a great pizza place right across the street. (They also do take-out.)
Will be back for sure!

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
Lovely, quaint, great rooms, inexpensive, a great location, and the people are friendly ... that’s how our guests describe Spindrift Inn. This cozy 14 room cottage-style rural inn is just a block from a 7 mile beach in Manzanita, on Oregon’s gorgeous North Coast. Mountains meet the sea, surrounded by two State Parks, forests and the Pacific Ocean. In our inn you will find no smoking, pillowtop beds, some suites, some kitchenettes, and some pet-friendly rooms (call ahead to be sure). Off the highway, Manzanita’s small commercial district is nestled among cabins and cottages - perfect to park and walkabout. There are shops with trendy clothing, natural food, and several restaurants serving fish en papillote to authentic Mexican. And the connection with Nature is superb ... you can re-fresh, rejuvenate and be re-inspired when you return home. Or stay forever (we did). Come visit us ... then you may say: "Spindrift Inn might not have a lot of street appeal, but thankfully the rooms, cleanliness, staff, location and price were all wonderful. We’ll definitely be back again." Owned and operated by local families since 1946. ... more   less
