Wow! It was a long wait for this huge project, taken on with love and ambition by local people and destined to use locally raised meats and organic produce. When you enter the place you feel transported to a much larger city, one with actual, healthy food choices. The old timers who preferred Bisquick pancakes on Sundays and Velveeta cheese on their Wednesday tacos may have trouble adapting. My first meal was a winner: a sandwich of pickled beets on home-made ricotta with nettle pesto. The hamburgers are terrific, too!
My only fault to find is that it is a large space with high ceilings, and when a crowd is there it's very loud.
