The location is right on the beach. A deck and fireplace would have been nice. The rooms are very basic but was clean. Was in building D and the walk to the casino was very convenient. With the amount we 'donated' to the casino the room should have been free since we left 5x we paid for the room at the casino.

How about listing a contact phone number on you web page?
I searched several times and have been unable to find your contact phone #.
Didn't really like the basement like rooms.
Sorry. It was very convenient for functions at the casino.

We stayed in Building B Room 320. Great view of the ocean. Decor outdated and worn. The lamp they had in between the beds had such a large lamp shade that there was no room on the nightstand to but anything as the lamp had to be in the middle of the stand due to the large shade. Get a skinner lamp!!!

The entry door had an inch gab at the bottom and with the high wind blowing Westerly the 2 nights we stayed I had to put a towel in front of the door to cut the heavy draft coming in. The small heater at the westend of the room had to work overtime to keep the entire room warm. The bathroom had no heater and we had to keep the door shut all night as there is a light outside the room right at the bathroom window which lights up the rest of the room if you don't shut the door to the bathroom. The bathroom was like a frig! Oh, and the toilet was not secured to the floor very well. It tips it you moved side to side on it.

On a better note - the hotel restuarant has a great veiw of the ocean. Breakfast was very good an reasonably priced.

Also note that the hotel is NOT connected to the Casino. They do have 24hr shuttle service. Depending on what builidng you are in it's not to far to walk but with the cold wind blowing like it was walking was out of the question.

Room Tip: Get a room in the newer section with a balcony.

We stayed in an oceanfront suite with two queen beds. There was a sitting area with table chairs, microwave, sink & mini fridge. Perfect for three gals having a little getaway! Room was clean in good order. Lots of room for all our stuff! There is an additional long counter with sink and lots of counter space outside of the bathroom, which was nice. The mattresses could have been a little more comfortable, but weren't bad. We enjoyed a little gambling and Bingo (my first time!) and the little deli a few times. We missed the restaurant and had to go into town to eat both nights. The pool and hot tub was awesome, a non-chlorine solution. Hot tub is huge! There are two private baths with showers as well in the pool house. We went back and forth between pool and hot tub, did a few laps and by back was completely back to normal. (After two nights in the bed) We had a blast and really enjoyed the room. It was nice and quiet, lots of hot water in the shower. The staff provided us with mint tea from the restaurant and a couple others extras. Awesome staff! The room was a fabulous deal as well for about $60. (with our gambling card)

Room Tip: Rooms are not in the same building as the lobby, casino, restaurant or pool. It wasn't a proble...

First of all, this is not the first time that Chinook Winds Resort has messed up on my reservations. I called in for reservations on Sat.4th of Jan. for reservations on Mon. the 6th with the reservationist saying 13th and I had to tell this person several times the 6th not the 13th. He then told me that I had a free night stay and that the pet fee was waived by the casino. That was great! I called on the 5th to confirm my reservation only to find that they had charged my room and pet fee to my card and never notified me that they were doing this. I thought that I was getting a free room and then ended up with having to pay for the room and a pet fee on top that so I asked if they would split it since they made the mistake. I ended up paying for the room. I figured that it was a good compromise since the pet fee was actually more than the promo room rate. The room had a beautiful view of the ocean. The room was clean.

We spent several days at this resort in late December. The hotel rooms have a beautiful view of the beach. Make your reservations on their website and see if a web only rate is available. Our room with a magnificent view was less than $60. a night for a Sunday-Tuesday stay. The seafood restaurant at the resort was good, but skip the "chef's choice" platter. My husband thought it was refrigerator leftovers! We didn't spend much time at the casino because we're not big gamblers, but if you sign up for the players club, you can earn points to apply to future stays. There is a non-smoking area, but the whole place was still pretty smokey. If you're looking for a good value right on the beach, this hotel is hard to beat.

Room Tip: All the rooms are beach front.

We have been coming here for years, usually a suite, this year they were booked for holidays so we stayed in a regular "deluxe room" at time of resevations we informed them that my husband was disabled as all non suite rooms are accessed outside with 3 floors and no elevator. We drove quite a distance to get here and upon arrival they told us the room was on the 3rd floor! Because of the holiday we could not find another room in town so we had to take it, not an easy task helping my husband up all those steps. When we went to the casino there were many patrons complaining and just having conversing about how tight the machines were and how quickly your money was being taken, we found out for ourselves this to be true and noticed the atmosphere in the whole place was not very pleasant, on Christmas morning we went to the restaurant at the hotel, not many people dining however it took extremely long to receive food that was cold, we gave the waitress a credit card for payment and waited at least 10 minutes and finally went to the front and asked where she and our credit card was, the other waitress called her and she came out of the kitchen still chewing saying she was sorry, she forgot because she was in the kitchen trying the food for the nights menu. We then decided to go back and try again to have a little fun at the casino, again same thing no one was very complimentary about the place saying the machines were very tight, so we lost very quickly, not to mention that we were also told that they cancel your player card every 90 days if you do not play in that time so I lost thousands of points. The kicker was because my husband is disabled we called to ask for a later checkout time ( which we would have Gladly paid an additional fee for) and were told absolutely not, due to y husbands disability and having to trek those stairs it is really a hardship in the morning, we have never been refused an extra hour, I found this experience to be unacceptable and will not be returning to chinook winds again, we have been coming since it opened, we .also drove our car to the casino from the hotel because the shuttle was very spare, we will not return and will be giving all of our future business to Three Rivers Casino where they really care about their patrons and go out of their way to take care of you, it's too bad because we love coming to Lincoln City

Room Tip: Try for a suite as the the doors are so close together at the other rooms that you and your neighbor...
