“As far as CAsinos go this one is just okay”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 30, 2012

Casino is very busy and smokey. The Buffet is okay. Spirit Mountain Casino (whish is about 1/2 hour away) seems cleaner and less smokey also didn't seem as crowded. The Hotel rooms are just basic hotel rooms nothing fancy. With all the money this place generates you would think that the facilities would be better kept up. The selling feature is that you are at the Beach, Well the beacjh is nice the Casino, not so much. If you don't mind crowds and smoke I'd come here tio play, otherwise I'd head inland to spirit mountain.

Room was Ok King bed was fine, and view was good but TV was old, and wasn't able to get Fox News. Casino food was good at the Deli. WiFi was a little hard to get had to go out side to get good reception. Price was right and be close to casino was a plus.

We were there for a PRIDE event a couple weeks ago. The room was ok, and gal checking us in was fine. The people in the morning were rude and dismissive. Oh, and don't even think of asking for a late check out. I've traveled far and wide and have never been denied a late checkout on a Sunday, from places much nicer and much busier than this one. Nothing like being chased out at 11am sharp after a night of celebration.
No one on duty seemed to know anything about our event, what time or where anything was to take place. And they all seemed a bit wierded out when asked.
We made the mistake of trying to eat in their upstairs steakhouse. The entire dining room floor was one big train wreck. No one was in charge. Just a bunch of incoherant zombies disguised as servers, stumbling around without even a basic knowledge of simple menu items. For every single thing we needed, had to go up to the bartender or stand up to get our incompetant server's attention. I was looking for the hidden cameras, as I was certain we were on one of those gag shows.. I doubt I would return to this facility for gambling, and would never try eating here again under any circumstance. There is a total unwelcoming vibe from one end of this property to the other.
We did discover Spirit Mountain on the way home though. What a difference. We'll make Spirit Mountain our casino of choice from now on. It's twenty minutes closer and the people working there have a pulse, and are much friendlier.

Room Tip: Do your gambling in Grande Ronde. Stay at Liberty Inn and eat absolutely anywhere else.

I went to see the Doobie Brothers on 9/23/12. I've been a fan my whole life. GREAT SHOW! The motel room was one of the non-view rooms/single queen bed. This is a very very small room. The bed was very firm...even by firm standards. The room/bathroom was spotless. There was no a/c. I needed it. You might too... especially in the summertime. The TV gets really terrible reception in the PM, and ok reception in the AM. (I channel flipped to make sure.) As for the concert, the band was fantastic. But the seating layout is not too good for concert seating! Fortunately, I was in the front row. There are chairs AND tables set up for concert seating. But the tables are SIDEWAYS to the stage. So plan your seating carefully. Try for the regular chairs (not at a table) if you want to be seated facing forward. If you don't mind turning your head for 1.75hrs, take a table because you have a little more room. If you need to remain seated, pray you don't have a 6-5 guy in front of you. Because the floor will NOT give you elevation near the stage. The stage itself is only elevated about 2.5 feet. I bet the seating works great for Bingo. The food was good and there are plenty of restaurants to choose from. A great grocery store is VERY nearby, as well as a great brew-pub. The beach itself was pristine and deserves your time...if even for just 1 walk. NEVER put the room key by your cell phone. It'll wipe-out the magnetic coding on the key. 2am and buzzed is NOT the time to have your key malfunction! Do not expect the slots to pay. Casinos are in the business to make profit. So have fun spending money. The bartenders make really good drinks. I MEAN WOW. They lay the booze on thick. For obvious reasons (insert grin here!) Expect to wait a bit at the bar, it's not a bad wait. The layout of the casino (except the concert layout) is well done. You can get anywhere easily. Especially the bathrooms. Staff is friendly. The sunsets are NOT to be missed under any sunny circumstances. They are wonderful. If you plan on having a sunset dinner in a restaurant, reservations are a must. Highway 101 is the only way to get here. Expect to find yourself behind several 35MPH RV's to and from....so It'll be a longggg drive.

Room Tip: Choose a room with A/C in the summer. Some rooms do not have A/C. Get a room with a view. You'...

We were camping at Devils Lake in a yurt. Weather was bad so we thought we would check out the casino. Tried the buffet for lunch,$8.95 for seniors...great bargain. Small buffet but with lots of good choices. Everything I tried tasted fresh and hot. The only thing I didn't like was there fried choices.
Of all the casinos we have visited on the coast we liked this one the best. Beautiful views, good buffet and a good selection of slots that we had good luck on.

We checked in late on a Saturday afternoon specifically to have a place just to sleep in after seeing a show in the casino Showroom. Our first time here: we were impressed by the size and layout of the resort. The room itself was quite small, only enough room to walk around a queen- sized bed. A TV sits on a shelf in the corner just at eye-level-- I avoided bumping into it a few times. But the room and bathroom are spotlessly clean and well-maintained. There is no room fridge, and no closet. Items needing hanging have a corner of the room set up for this. The room overlooked the parking lot between the hotel and the casino, which was fine with us-- for the money we paid we didn't care about a view. There was no free WiFi in the room itself. For that you had to go to the common area back near the registration building. The bed was firm and the pillows were perfect. As far as noise goes, we did hear our closest neighbors' shower going on and off, but fortunately they were quiet otherwise. We were not there to gamble, but did wander through the casino. The smoke haze was a complete turn-off for me but it was a very busy Saturday night. Food at the least expensive place was a deli, which served excellently prepared food for a very good price. It felt like eating in a mall's food court, but that did make for great people-watching. And last, the show we saw was a lot of fun; the showroom maybe held 200 or 300, and that was nice--felt like a small nightclub atmosphere. No alcohol is served in the showroom. That was disappointing. Otherwise, we'd love to come see another show here-- great price, and fun atmosphere, on a budget.

Room Tip: Next time we'd choose a room facing the beach.

My absolute favourite place to stay...we go each year, never stay long enough, really
love everything here. Rooms, view, fresh air, people all wonderful...The Rogue Dining
Room is our favourite dining room, fabulous view, excellent food and service, and
no loud music spoiling your eating experience. The best ever for sure - can't wait to
go back. Val Gregory, North Vancouver, B.C. Canada.

Room Tip: They are all good! Your can't go wrong here! Rain or shine, is fun!
