The Coho Oceanfront Lodge

Certificate of Excellence
Reviewed November 13, 2011

I've had the blessing over the last 26+ years to travel several times each year to a variety of places throughout the U.S. Often times my favorites are at the Oregon Coast. The Coho Oceanfront Lodge provides a friendly, personal, VIP experience in a town not typically known for such treatment.

Upon check-in we were greeted by courteous staff offering warm beverages for a cold night and even having warm cookies ready for all to enjoy. The guest service employee made us feel comfortable, offered a brief verbal orientation of the property, and even checked in with us a few hours later offering any additional help we may need (according to many VIP experts this is a very important aspect of the guest experience.) This ensures all guests are treated the way you should be treated--spoiled and taken care of from end to end.

The Bathrooms with this newly renovated establishment were that of a bathroom you'd find in a suite on the Las Vegas Strip. There is an abundance of towels, "green" hygiene products, tile floors and an over-sized mirror. I wish I could take the bathroom with me!

Overall, The Coho has stolen my loyalty for a Lincoln City weekend/getaway location and I won't be staying anywhere else. That's the way to enjoy a weekend--a stylish, VIP experience only at The Coho Oceanfront Lodge.

Room Tip: Remember it's cold at the beach, consider getting a fireplace suite.

We loved the value for the money. It was well-appointed for the price but travelling the Oregon Coast we found that Cannon Beach seemed so much more interesting in terms of the vibe of the town.

I'm glad you found your stay with us of great value and the accommodations well appointed. While Cannon Beach has a great vibe of it's own, we feel Lincoln City holds it's own and has tons to offer. Our concierge service attitude instilled by all of our front office staff is always available to give great recommendations of things to see, do, taste, and experience. We hope you decide to visit Lincoln City again and let us help you experience everything the Central Oregon Coast has to offer!

Stayed here 4 days.Wonderful service, nice room, bath room very small.Affordable, fair continental breakfast, good beach access. Our big mistake was having a suite @ the north end, everyone goes to that end to smoke. We had to keep the sliding door closed the entire time. Second floor
balcony was impossible to sit outside.Smoke came straight up on us.
I would stay again just not @ that end. Parking lot was a nightmare on week end. During the week it was a wonderful place to be.
I must mention stairs only to get to upper level rooms. The stairs step width is very short. We watched a number of people have difficulties navigating the stairs.
We all did really like The Coho and would recommend.

Room Tip: If you do not smoke. get a south room

Thank you for your recommendation of our property! I apologize that you were bothered by cigarette smoke during your stay. We pride ourselves in being a very clean, smoke-free establishment, and prohibit guests from smoking where it can drift into our rooms and bother other guests. Had we have been aware of the situation, we would have gladly addressed this issue. We certainly look forward to your next visit!

This is our new favorite place!! Last time we stayed in Lincoln City we stayed at Pelican Shores, which was nice. However, the Coho is far nicer. Our original plan was Pelican Shores, but after finding Coho I cancelled them and booked here and I'm glad I did! For $25 more for the 3 nites we stayed over Pelican Shores, it was awesome! We had the queen room w/gas fireplace and partial ocean view w/balcony. The balcony is hardly a balcony, but we could totally see the ocean and hear it, which is what I like. The bed was very comfortable with the tempurpedic type top. The TV had decent channels. The bathroom was big enough with excellent water pressure and a rainshower type head. The room was clean - I used to clean hotel rooms so I know - and we had the top floor so no one above us. Although, we never really did hear anyone else. The front desk staff were extremely friendly, pleasant, and helpful. We didn't use the pool, so don't know about that. We did the casino and sightseeing and then vegged in our room watching movies on the DVD player in the TV, which is a nice amenity. And after we were in our room about 20 mins the front desk called to see if everything was ok - that was VERY NICE! Never had anyone do that before and I've stayed in some pretty nice places. There is limited cover parking too. We will definitely be back!

Room Tip: Top floor. Partial ocean view you can still see everything.

Stayed for 2 nights in June '11. Stayed in 2 bedroom suite with bunkbed. Kids had plenty of room and so did me and my wife. It is kind of spendy at $170/night, but it was worth it. The room was large and extremely clean.

We had the rare opportunity to get away for a few days. Headed down the Oregon Coast from Washington State. We spent night #2 at the Coho Lodge and loved it so much we came back and spent night #4 there. WONDERFUL!!!

Loved the Coho. Rooms are very clean, neat and very affordable. Beautiful ocean view from all rooms. Good continental breakfast. Really liked the 32" flat screen TVs and in-room DVD players. At last! We finally found a confortable bed!

We've stayed in a lot of different places in Lincoln City, but we liked the Coho enough to make it our first choice on future visits.

Room Tip: Newer side of the complex is probably the best, but all room recently refurbished. Older side has an...
