Beachfront Manor Hotel

We stayed at the Beachfront Manor over the Labor Day weekend. It was the quiet weekend that we wanted, in a room that had partial ocean view and such easy access to the beach. We were sad to leave!

On the day of arrival, we got a call around noon time from the hotel to let us know that our room was ready, in case we wanted to settle in early. It was very nice to know as most hotels' check-in time is usually around 3 or 4pm. Check-in was done at the sister property (Starfish Manor) a block away. Front desk staff was friendly and efficient. We had the choices of scheduled daily housekeeping service or call when we needed anything - it's good to have the choices as we wanted to be undisturbed throughout the weekend.

The room we got was the farthest room from the stairs on the 6th (top) floor before the big room that has a hot tub with full ocean view. Our room had partial view of the ocean (just as the website stated) and was very clean. The queen bed was very comfortable, and shower had plenty of pressure. The room also had a mini refrigerator, a gas fireplace, a large TV, and a coffee maker, with wine opener available at the front desk. It's not a big room but certainly was comfortable and cozy enough for a few days of romantic getaway. Note: there is currently no WIFI at this property, but for a romantic getaway, it's really not a big problem, especially with the direct beach access the hotel has.

There is no breakfast available at the hotel, but there are plenty of restaurants in town to choose from. There are some nice restaurants in the area, but advanced reservation is highly recommended if you're there during high season or long weekend.

The hotel staff provided excellent service and was always cordial, whether it's front desk, housekeeping or maintenance staff. We enjoyed our quiet stay there with fond memories, and will be going back again. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone going to Lincoln City/Pacific City (15 min drive).

Room Tip: A room closest to the beach (or with partial view of the ocean) on the top floor is quieter and has...

Great place to stay for a honeymoon! Service was excellent when we asked to get more blankets, and after a couple days we asked to get our hot tub cleaned and it was quickly done. Fireplace was nice and the view was great.

Newly renovated rooms, great service and great hot tub overlooking the beach. The bathroom and Shower is really small, wish it was bigger. And no wifi but big tv with DVD. But overall I would come back. And there is a lot of stairs, A lot of stairs.

Room Tip: Ask for a corner room. Much bigger

The room was clean and comfortable, and the hotel faces the beach. It is worth the view upgrade if you are enjoying a romantic getaway, but probably not worth it if you are just passing through. There is no complimentary breakfast but there are some great breakfast places in town. The hotel has access to a big beautiful beach:)

This was the nicest place we found on the beach. They have the best staff! We arrived a little early and they called as soon as the room was ready. The rooms were the cleanest and the view was incredible. I don't think I have ever stayed at a hotel this quiet and spacious. I would recommend the rooms with the hot tub on the deck, you couldn't ask for anything better. We plan on going back every year.

We went over the 4th of July weekend hoping to have a romantic getaway. Instead, we were quaffed in a billowing stench of the neighboring hotels sewer issue. NO WIFI at Beachfront Manor. This was a killer for me as I do my business from my laptop. It's not posted on Beachfront website, but is on Starfish so a bit confusing. Screaming kids running down adjoining access stairs to the beachfront in the am wasn't a bit romantic. I understand that the neighbors sewer issues isn't directly Beachfront Manors problem, but when it effects your customers ability to comfortable accommodations, a GOOD hotel will do whatever it can to assist in remedying the issue, making their guest enjoyment their #1 objective. If you want a hotel that will acknowledge problems and do nothing, you are at the right place. If you want to get your $200/night's worth, look elsewhere. The icky rusty sediment run off at the beach access didn't look very appealing either. At first we thought it was raw sewage, but apparently the hotel just has rusty pipes, per the owner. Wear your flip flops!

Room Tip: I hear that the starfish manor is a much better fit if you are looking for romantic getaway, don'...

I think an oceanfront Hot tub / Fireplace / King Suite on 4th of July for $200/night is a GREAT DEAL. That said - I am very sorry this guest didnt enjoy their stay as much as they should have! They stayed in an oceanfront suite with private oceanfront Hot Tub over looking the ocean. The suite offered beautiful gas fireplace, a King bed with pillow top mattress, robes, granite counters, kitchenette, luxury linens, & upgraded soaps. I do know $200/night is alot - but on the 4th of July the other regular rooms on the oceanfront with no fireplace or hot tub is almost 2x's this amount - we dont choose to over charge our guests on holidays! We don't offer Wi-fi (also didn't advertisie it either!) - but will have that fixed within a month - problem is the you park at the 5th floor and the hotel goes down over the beach right down to the sand so getting wi-fi to a remodeled building (in 2007 over 1 million dollars on 30 rooms) down through layers of concrete flooring has been a challenge. As for the sewer smell - this guest is right - we couldnt do anything about another hotel next door - Surftides - and on a holiday we were full so couldnt move the guest and they DIDNT want to check out. We do have a retaining wall at the beach level with old pipes in the wall that we weren't allowed to replace - but the rust rarely ever touches the sand. I think if you look at the other reviews and check out our Starfish Manor Oceanfront Hotel as they mention you will be VERY happy! Starfish Manor Oceanfront Hotel was voted #2 Most Romantic hotel in United States by Trip Advisor!

My husband & I stayed here for our mini-honeymoon. We spent a little extra money to get a corner room & it was worth every single penny. Although take note that with the better view comes slightly decreased privacy. We were so close to the ocean it felt like you could just reach out & touch it.

They called us when our room was ready so we could settle in as soon as possible. The front desk check-in was swift & kind. We opted to call if we needed anything from housekeeping in lieu of scheduling a time for them to detail our room - it worked wonderfully for us. We ran into the maintenance workers a few times & they were so cordial & kind! They usually don't even acknowledge your presence at other hotels. It was the quiet, romantic stay that we wanted. We felt that it was an incredible value & will definitely be back again. We were so sad to leave.

A single cup coffee brewer, like a Keurig, would have been much better than the standard hotel coffee brewer & would have been in line with the rest of their amenities. The wine opener & glasses came in very handy! The tile work around the fireplace needs some grout & didn't have the craftsmanship that the rest of the room had... but that had no impact on the quality of our stay.
