We stopped for breakfast in September, 2012. Great breakfasts and were accomadating of my wife's gluten intolerance. Nice service, good forest views off the back dining room. If you rely on GPS, double-check the location. This is off 101 before you get to Lincoln City when coming in from the east (Portland). GPS tried to take us way into town and we unknowingly drove right past the restaurant. Look for the Sea Lion Caves billboard on 101 and Wildflowers is right there by the billboard!

The florentine omlet was packed with fresh spinach, on the side was a homemade salsa that was like a salsa-slaw and terrific. Great food in a sun room with a peaceful view. Great way to start the day!

Sadly, I was not favorably impressed the the quality of the food or atmosphere at this restaurant. It is in a lovely old house on a hill overlooking a lovely lagoon right on 101 in Lincoln City, OR. Unfortunately, that's the best part. Service was good, the food not at all. My main reason for going there was duck breast on their menu on the Internet. Sorry to say, it was terribly overcooked, covered with marionberries,(not a sauce as they described it) and served with an abnormally unpleasing amount of food loaded on the plate. And I did'nt even have potatoes. My husband ordered Panko crusted halibut with a seafood sauce and again too many veggies and potatoes making the presentation unappetizing. His impression was "it's OK" which translates to he did'nt care for it. How can you ruin halibut? Our meals lacked flavor, proper spices, and were generally bland.
The worst part was we were seated next to the kitchen (this is a small restaurant) and the kitchen door constantly flew open and shut as servers came in and out. This could have been tolerable if every time the door opened I didn't have to hear a radio blaring Mexican mariachi music with an occasional loud solo from a cook or two.
Unfortunalely, I give this place a D- for food, and an F for atmosphere despite the lovely view. It's a real shame, it could be an exceptional romantic little place considering its prime location.

The outside of the place is overrun with weeds. We should of known better but the other reviews we had read sounded good. Crab Benedict was not very good. The amount of crab was skimpy and the homemade bread was not very good. The sauce was not very good also. I had apply juice and a crab and shrimp omelette. I threw up as soon as we left. The waitress (owner) was very short with people. When we asked where the bathroom facilities were she did not even answer us.

The service was great. Genuinely nice crew. Not superficial sappy. ALL the employees worked together as a team to make the customers happy. We felt like we were appreciated. Food was amazing. Seriously...real butter, warm syrup, organic good stuff for the extra special touches. Love this place!
