It's just a covered bridge over a creek, but the story behind it is very interesting. Has been completely restored and one can feel the history around it.

This little bridge is not to be missed if you like covered bridges. The story behind it is incredible and more than about just saving a bridge. The directions are a little off, i.e., it is not 3.9 miles from US 101. Rather, it is just beyond 4 miles and you should turn south at the road sign that says, "Dry Creek Road." Then, it's only 1/4 mile further.

This is a beautiful covered bridge about 10 miles east of Lincoln City and a couple of miles off Highway 22. It is well worth the side trip to view this piece of history that was saved by a local family before it could be destroyed and lost forever.

If you really have a thing for covered bridges, then this is a nice photo op. There is a good amount of safe parking so you can pull off the road to take your pictures. You can't drive across the bridge and it is private property on the other side. The best part about going to this bridge is that you will probably pass the Otis Café - stop and eat there. It will make the whole trip worth it!
