“Not The Best Concert Venue!!”

Chinook Winds Casino & Convention Center
Ranked #15 of 42 things to do in Lincoln City
Attraction details
Reviewed November 6, 2013

We went to see Styx at Chinook Winds and it is not the best concert venue. It looks like the concert was held in the bingo hall. So many people to see the concert there was a 45 minute wait for the buffet. The casino was not ready to accommodate such a large crowd. We were in the 4th row and the seats were so crammed together it was uncomfortable and people overlapped each other. Not a concert friendly spot.

Great casino. not as smokey as casinos in California. Had a good time, lots of penny machines. In a great location, can walk to nearby stores. Check out McMenamins

Casinos are wierd places. The power structure that holds such a place up can fall short in many areas, especially in customer service. This casino is a little smug and sure of itself and offers very little spontaneous cordiality or friendliness from the guys in middle management here. I don't think they really care about the average guest who is going to come in and gamble, tossing about 50 dollars in until it is gone. I guess the mangers are all really sure of their jobs. The food in the restaurant is sometimes very good, and you never really know when that some time is going to be. I get the feeling like a really big big monopoly and corporation is running this casino and all of the little nobodies are not very important to them.

We went to a comedy show and the venue has terrible seating. The seats they sold on the bottom half of the stadium looked OK, but on the second level there were chairs on a flat surace, three rows. Pack them in and sell tickets! You were not able to see the stage. I wrote a letter ad received back a form letter that told me to buy my tickets earlier to get good seat! A totally dissappointing exprience. Would never go back and would advise all our family and friends not to go either.

We had fun gambling a little bit and also taking the kids to the arcade. The arcade gives tickets so the kids can buy prizes with them.......fun games!!
