“Wonderful Place!”
Reviewed January 21, 2014

This was the first time I had ever been here and it was Wonderful! The room was perfect with a nice fireplace and a huge window that looked out to the ocean. It was great to have a microwave, full size coffee pot and fridge! The room was very clean too.The continental breakfast was nice and just enough to start your day. All the employees were so helpful and great to suggest good restaurants. I will be back to this great place for more R & R. Even received a thank you note for staying here.

This hotel was nice. The room could have used a little extra work; cabinets were torn and the carpet had lots of rips. The bed wasn't too comfy either but we have to say the hot tub experience made our trip :) watching the sunset on the beach from the tub was so relaxing and beautiful. But, I think they should keep a squeegee in there because the windows get pretty foggy. The staff was very nice. We also had a little unexpected ocean view from the window in our room that you could see from the bed, that was really cool :)

My partner and I stayed in the "Romance Suite" with in-room jacuzzi the week before Christmas. We loved our stay. The jacuzzi was everything we hoped for and spent a large portion of our stay soaking, listening to the waves, spotting sea lions and sipping champagne. The room felt more like a nice condo than a hotel room, which we really appreciated.

Our advice to make your stay even more wonderful- grab a bottle of champagne and some cheese or chocolate to enjoy while soaking in the jacuzzi. Once you get to the room, you won't want to leave, no matter the time of year. The fireplace in the corner really keeps things toasty in winter. Glasses and dishes are provided in a stocked kitchenette. We also brought a couple of our favorite movies to watch while soaking which we were really glad we did- the large flat screen TV is easy to see from the tub.

My review was not 5 stars because the continental breakfast offered by the hotel is disappointing. There are packaged muffins, some fruit, old bagels and diluted juice and you must eat all food in the breakfast area, which is a basement room. (Sure takes away the fun of eating in your room with a beautiful view!) However, part of my Groupon deal for this hotel included a voucher to the Wildflower Grill just a bit down the road and it was truly FANTASTIC- you must try their home made bread. The Puerto Vallarta Mexican Restaurant in Lincoln City is also probably our favorite Mexican restaurant in Oregon.

Room Tip: Treat yourself to the romance suite! Nothing quite like a jacuzzi in room.

I have stayed at several hotels in Lincoln City and fell in love with the Sea Horse. The price is more than affordable, the rooms are comfortable. warm and immaculate. The view (which is really oceanfront) is breathtaking, the staff delightful. My only regret is that I was only able to stay one night. I will be back, and plan to stay with them more often, and for longer periods of time.

Room Tip: We stayed on the ground floor, looking west. But it is my understanding all have ocean views, and is...

My wife and I stayed at the Sea Horse for a mid-week getaway and were very pleased. The room had been refurbished and was comfortable and very clean. Front desk staff were delightful. The continental breakfast was adequate. Pool and hot tub (The hot tub looks out over the Pacific) were clean and well maintained. If tre facility had a fitness center I would give it five stars. Very good value for the money.

We have been travelling to Lincoln City in the fall for a few years. Each year we try some place new and as of yet we have had no place we had a burning desire to return to. That changed.

We chose the seahorse because of its price (50% off mid-week for a stay of 2 or more nights) and its proximity to "downtown". We chose a kitchenette room as we were going to be there for four days. The view is not important as we generally walk on the beach every day,

The booking process was smooth and the clerk was very helpful (Cricket). Check-in was as smooth. The room was large with a small kitchen (no oven). It was older but spotless.

The beds were comfortable, the room was quiet and the service was excellent. We used the small two burner stove most days for at least two meals. It was equipped with all the kitchen supplies we needed for our stay.

We like to be close to downtown as there are a couple of pubs there that we enjoy (mainly the Old Oregon Tavern and sometimes the Cruise) and we do not want to have to drive.

We plan to be through there again in the spring and we definitely plan to stay here again.

Room Tip: Both ocean and non-ocean view rooms. With the winter promotion, both are bargains.

What a nice surprise during Thanksgiving weekend! I highly recommend the Sea Horse if you are looking for a nice getaway. It has the typical feel of an older place that's not corporate owned and operated, and I mean that in a great way: charming, simple, clean, great location, clean. The office people were friendly and helpful. The hotel overlooks the oceans with some very nice views. A short walk down 100 feet of stairs to the beach. A 5-minute drive directly onto the beach, which was great for our old dog. We appreciated that it was truly pet-friendly (ex, not charging an arm-and-a-leg for the dog, size, weight, etc.). The hot tub, which somewhat overlooks the ocean, was a very nice bonus. The jets were a little loud, but you can turn them off and just sit in the relaxing water. They have a pool too, but we were content hanging out in the hot tub. You can walk a few minutes and be on the main road for restaurants, window shopping, snacks, etc.

Room Tip: The room next to the office had two separate bedrooms and a living room/kitchenette in between. Gre...
