Having just had a bad experience else where in LC for dinner .... we thought TRY TRY TRY again. We both had the Prine Rib dinner. It was very good and seemed like a bigger portion then the menu said (took left overs and had another complete meal!). The rest of the meai was good too. Our server, Jeffery, was very knowledge about the food (my first time trying quinoa - I liked it! ) and was attentive enough without constantly bothering us. We will definitely go back.

Quiet, spacious space for dinner. Good food and they have panna cotta for dessert. Service is good and they are very accommodating. I'd go back just for the dessert. They serve generous razor clams but unfortunately All You Can Eat Dungeness Crab is no longer there.

Food was plain nothing special, not worth the price, tables to close, smoky , just not worth time and money.

We had eaten at Chinook's Seafood Grill on a visit to Lincoln City about a year ago, and we enjoyed the food and service so much that we decided to come back again. On our last visit, we had wonderful bay shrimp salads, clam chowder, bread and some so-so fish and chips. We were planning to order the salads and chowder again this time. What a difference this experience was. We were greeted by the hostess and seated quickly - no surprise since there appeared to only be one other couple in the section we were seated in, and the restaurant was not busy at all. We were given menus and the wine list. Shortly thereafter, someone came by and asked if we wanted anything to drink. We asked for ice water to start. Another server brought the water fairly quickly and was also friendly. Then we waited. And waited. We saw the waitress/server at another booth and she saw us. We waited. And waited. At one point, the waitress actually walked by our booth while carrying a salad for the other couple. She didn't even acknowledge us. Just walked by. Then she walked by going the other way, with nothing in her hands. We'd assumed she would stop and take our order, but she didn't. I was looking at her and she didn't even make eye contact, let alone speak to us. Just walked by. We waited. And waited. No more customers had come in, so it wasn't like they were busy at all. My partner stood up a few times to make it obvious we were waiting and the hostess up front saw him do that. But no one came to take our order. We waited a little longer and saw the waitress go to the other booth and again ignore us. At that point we decided she had made it pretty clear that she was in no hurry to do her job and had no desire to serve us, so we got up to leave. We walked right by the hostess at the front and out the door - no one said a word to us. This was such a horrible example of poor customer service that I had to share it with others. I don't know what the waitress's problem was, but I hope a manager at the restaurant reads this review and lets team members know that such poor service and rudeness to customers definitely affects a restaurant's reputation. What a disappointment.

We were a party of 11 visiting this restaurant for the first time to celebrate my sister's birthday. My family lives at the coast but have never eaten at this particular restaurant. We were pleasantly surprised with our experience!

Our server was great and very attentive to our group. Dirty dishes were cleared promptly, water glasses refilled, asked several times if we needed anything more from the bar, etc. I would give the service 5 out of 5 stars.

The food: looking over the appetizer menu, there were several options but not too many to our liking. Normally we would have ordered calamari but theirs was prepared scampi-style so we decided to forgo those. Instead, we ordered the fried oysters and the crab cakes. Both were okay....nothing special to distinguish them from any other. The crab cakes were very small (2 of them on the plate), about the size of a half dollar but an inch or so thick. It was served with a salad, which I thought was odd for an appetizer. Probably wouldn't order appetizers here again.

Dinner: all the entrees are served with either a house salad, Caesar salad, soup of the day, or, for an additional charge, clam chowder. Those that ordered the Caesar said it was delicious! Larger parmesan shavings with a nice dressing that had just the right amount of garlic. All the salads were served with bay shrimp on top, which was very fresh and not fishy-smelling at all. Those that ordered clam chowder were not disappointed either! Excellent flavor! The prime rib was excellent; no complaints from any one on this entree. The fish and chips were also good. Served with slightly boring french fries. The lobster tail, while spendy, was worth every penny! The Taste of Chinook was the highlight! 4 small plates served together on one platter: coconut and tempura prawns, sesame chicken, bacon-wrapped top sirloin, and a 3 oz. lobster tail. The mango sauce was too sweet for one person. The halibut and salmon dishes were okay. We felt both pieces of fish were overcooked, leaving us with a dry piece of fish.

Overall, our experience was very good. We will definitely return for another visit and try some of the other items on the menu. The atmosphere was relaxing and beautiful as we watched the surf and the sun setting.
