Description: This restaurant was previously listed on Trip Advisor and now it isn't. We found it by using Trip Advisor. Recently we were visiting Lincoln City and thought we would check their latest reviews before going back and found they weren't listed, although we drove by and they were obvioulsy open and doing business.

Great fish and chips. Carry out if you want great fresh fish and chips or dine in if you want and old time fish shanty experience. Either way you can’t go wrong.

We drove by on Saturday and noticed this little building and how busy it was. We decided not to stop. On Sunday after some shopping at the outlets we decided to stop for a bite to eat.

The place was packed. Let it be noted that I am not a fan of fish or seafood. My husband really wanted some fish and chips. We waited in line and then placed our order. He got the cod and fries and I got the chicken strips and fries. We grabbed a table in the very cramped space.

Finally after a 45 minute wait our food was brought to our table. My husband raved about the fish and chips. It had large chunky pieces. The chicken strips looked and tasted like they were bought frozen and deep fried. The same as you can get anywhere else. I understand that this is a seafood place. Some people just don't like it. I would have liked to see the chicken as fresh as the fish and breaded and cooked in the same manner. I think it would go a long way with the non-seafood eaters.

If you want good fish and chips I would recommend this place if you don't mind waiting.

We were out on a motorcycle ride to the coast and stopped in. We have been here a few times. Great food but it takes a long time to get to your food. We waited about 45 min. Really good fish, shrimp, and chowder. The best on the Oregon coast. Just wish they had more seating. Minimal seating inside for the volume of people coming in. Even worse parking. Consider moving into a bigger place. (Also they need to buy new water glasses.)

Just missed them being open on Sunday... went back on Monday for lunch. Great $6 dollar lunch... fish, chowder, coleslaw and a soda. So good. We went back on Wednesday for fish and shrimp! So yummy = they are the best fish we have found in town. We ate at the Seafood grill at the casino on Sunday and it was a HUGE let down for so much money ( I didn't even eat half of it). This place is well worth the wait. They cook the food in small batches. Love the breading on the fish. We WILL be back. This is the only place in town that has never been a disappointment in food!!!!

We saw reviews were good for the food, not so great on service and it was a long wait. We called in our order a head of time and it was going to be about an hour. When we got there it was a small place. There wasn’t chowder left, they had sold out before we ordered. The Halibut fish and chips was fine. It was fresh, it just didn’t have a lot of flavor for some reason. We had just had seafood from Newport’s south beach fish market and thought their food was better. We know fresh seafood so we always try different places. For us it just wasn’t worth going to again. But other people seem to really enjoy it.
