It's kind of a diners and dives place, a bit kitschy, but the chowder is very good and they claim it is first award-winning. My chowder with bread bowl with a Diet Coke was almost $14 which I felt was a bit high for a simple soup bread and soda lunch. I ordered it to go and it took over 20 minutes just to give me chowder and bread. It was around 1 p.m., lunchtime, fairly busy but not packed. The service was acceptable but nothing special. You walk up to the window to order, and they have both indoor and outdoor seating. They bring the food out when it's ready and call your name until they find you. Overall, nothing special about the experience, and I probably would have rated it a three, except this chowder IS delicious. I will give it that!
