It's kind of a diners and dives place, a bit kitschy, but the chowder is very good and they claim it is first award-winning. My chowder with bread bowl with a Diet Coke was almost $14 which I felt was a bit high for a simple soup bread and soda lunch. I ordered it to go and it took over 20 minutes just to give me chowder and bread. It was around 1 p.m., lunchtime, fairly busy but not packed. The service was acceptable but nothing special. You walk up to the window to order, and they have both indoor and outdoor seating. They bring the food out when it's ready and call your name until they find you. Overall, nothing special about the experience, and I probably would have rated it a three, except this chowder IS delicious. I will give it that!

I had a pulled pork sandwich, the bun was toasty and buttery. But the star was the chowder. It really is one of the best I've tried anywhere. The wait was a half hour and it took 20 for our drinks. Iced coffee and sodas. The prices are higj for the location but they use quality ingredients.

Sometimes it's the food that makes a place and sometimes it's the people, sometimes some of both. At Tiki's the food was good, but we won't go back to a place that has good food but not-so-good people working there. At Tiki's, the people were spectacular. What fun we had! It's a great laid back place for grabbing lunch and hanging out with a gin and tonic (great!) and a Margarita (also great!). No one rushes you; everyone is kind and considerate and in a good mood. We loved this place!

We had 3 plain hot dogs, a mojito and 5 ice cream cones. Total was $60! We'll never go again! Stop somewhere else and save your money.

Sat outside at this little sidewalk cafe just off the beach and had a ball.

The food is fine (we shared a fairly good Coney Island hot dog and bowl of thick, flavorful, bacon-forward clam chowder), and the drinks were bueno. Gin & tonics for her, Down the Hatch Margaritas for me, with a healthy side of cribbage and people watching.

The service was outstanding, as was rubbing sandy elbows with the beach crowd on a gloriously sunny Sunday. We will return, and we will once again get our Tiki on!
