“Great view”
Reviewed June 22, 2014 via mobile

During our endeavor to find the best chowder in town we popped into Mo's for lunch. It was super busy and loud and kinda crazy but that was too be expected for a lower cost restaurant with a water view. Our waitress came by got our drink order and came back with the wrong drinks. After carefully considering the menu we decided on a hot crab melt and seafood sliders with chower.

Hot crab melt: This was seriously to die for. The amount of crab was great, the flavor was super perfect and it was grilled on garlic bread to crispy perfection.
Must try if you like crab.

The seafood sliders: These little sandwiches were a sampler of three seafoods. Tuna, very good. Crab, good. And Bay shrip, meh.

The chowder: Mo's is known for their chowder aannnddd it is totally over rated! It was on the thin side, better than a chain restaurant but really not worth a stop.

Overall, view was great but atmosphere and wait staff lacked in every way.

All that having been said I will go back just for a crab melt.

“Tired and overrated”
Reviewed June 22, 2014

We have been eating at Mo's for many years. Have always enjoyed the atmosphere and the food. This place is always busy, but that is because of the lore of Mo. She is now long gone and the place is no longer family owned. The menu is the same, but the food is not of the quality that we expect. I ordered the steamed clams. They came in a bowl of watered down broth and with no bread. If you want bread with any food, you must order a side, which I find offensive. The clams were small and bland and there were a lot of shells with no clams. We also had the clam chowder, or should I say watered down potato soup? Hardly any clams and yet again, no bread. The fish and chips were just OK, lots of breading and the fish did not taste fresh. Service was just OK. The waitress did not really seem very interested and had too many tables to take care of. I am sorry to say that the days of Mo's as a must eat place are over.

“Nothing Special....”
Reviewed June 18, 2014 via mobile

Sad, over the years we have watched this chain go downhill. Tonight was our last visit....service wasn't good and now the portions are smaller while the prices keep going up. Too bad, we always looked forward to going to Mo's every time we went to the coast.

“Highly overrated chowder, but still good”
Reviewed June 18, 2014

First off, for touting their chowder so highly, it should be much better. I found it to be very bland, with a lot of potatoes and not much in the way of clams. I had to add a lot of salt and pepper to make it worth eating. My family felt the same way.

That aside, we still enjoyed our trip to Mo's. The fried shrimp was great, and the huge portion of onion rings kept us all satisfied. We had great service, and the seating was comfortable with a nice view. Our lunch was good overall, and it was worth the visit. Just don't make the trip solely for the chowder. It's not worthy of the hype.

“Fathers Day Lunch”
Reviewed June 18, 2014

The staff was very attentive to all our needs and was always by to fill our beverage glasses up. There is always a line for a table, but the line seems to move pretty quickly
