We went to the hotel restaurant multiple times during our stay at different meal periods. The same staff was working pretty much every time. We noticed that Gabby, one of the servers, was running around like a chicken with her head cut off while holding it together.
We also noticed that Jordan, one of the other workers was moving very slow, not acknowledging customers or their needs, and wasn't very friendly or informative when telling us that someone would be with us in just a minute. I understand it was a busy time, but he sounded frustrated when telling us someone will be with us in a minute, when the proper way would be to thank us for waiting with a smile and then say that someone will be with us in a moment. Gabby was keeping a friendly attitude and just running practically everywhere to get customers what they need, and I feel like she doesn't get enough credit.
We saw three different tables ask 'can we get a menu?' after being seated for a long time, and asking things like 'are you the only worker?' to Gabby, because the other worker (Jordan) failed to provide water, menus, napkins/forks to any of the customers and he definitely was not working with a sense of urgency, it just made me mad because there are so many people who would love to have that job and would be much better for the restaurant and its image, and the fact that Gabby had to pick up his slack, I really feel sorry for her, we made sure and left her a good tip.
