Staying at adjacent hotel so decided to try this restaurant for breakfast and dinner. Was a little concerned because the prices were so inexpensive. Pleasantly surprised!! Good food with generous portions. At times they seem a little disorganized but nothing I could not live with. One of the nights we were in here a fairly large party was there as well. They spent their time giving the staff a hard time yet the staff kept up their friendly smiles the entire time.

Walked into the front door and asked for a table for 10. The hostest rolled her eyes, and walked away. The hostess trainning just looked down at the book and was nervous which prompted us to ask if we were going to be seated or if we needed to find another restauarent. The server didnt know how to serve a multi coursed meal, but was friendly and tried really hard. No hostess, buser, or manger in sight to help her. We ordered their best wine they were out. We ordered their other best wine and he didnt know how to open the bottle. ( Great little wine list.) The Cesar Salad was served with dressing on the side and mixed greens, we said never mind just bring us a side of Ranch and we were told they were out. The food was otherwise good, menu was excellently balanced, great concept. Lobster mac and cheese to die for....but service so bad. Spoke with manager and was assured we would be compensated never happened. Went for breakfast, no butter, server didnt know the differenct between butter and margarine. Served out ice water by grabbing rims of glasses and setting on table. The servers kept mentioning how busy they were and I kept thinking, surprise surprise the Oregon Coast busy in August. IT just went on and on and on...... Avoid the place if you can.

Wow! This place was great! The prices were very reasonable and the portions were huge! The kids meals were free with the purchase of our meals. Our family of four ate for about $25. They were friendly and we really enjoyed our time from the food to the view of the ocean. My husband had a huge steak with ample sides. I highly recommend the chicken tenders on the kids meal. The chicken and fries were incredible! Their portions were huge too! I highly recommend this place!

Last summer I panned Mist in my review "Mist missed". In the local papers and "things to do at the beach" papers Mist is advertising a new menu and lower prices including coupons. So we gave it another chance. Happily the restaurant is much improved. The service is friendly and competent. The food is tasty and fresh. the menu is reasonably priced with unpretentious food choices. There is a surf and turf for $15 which has a 6 ounce steak and a variety of fresh seafood in tempura batter that is light and not oily. There is a 5 ounce happy hour steak for 5.99. Breakfast is good with entrees between 5 and 9 dollars. There is a great ocean view. In summary while Mist is not fancy it is good food at a good price competently served.

We were staying in the Surftides Hotel and decided to give thier on site restaurant Mist a try after we overheard a group of people in the hotel lobby talking about how good it was.
Really glad we did. They are obvioulsy very popular because the line was out the door, but we only had to wait about 15 minutes for a seat. They were very, very busy, but the service was exceptional, and the bacon wrapped prawns were very good. The restaurant has a beautiful interior and great view of the ocean. A definite must when visiting Lincoln City.
