“Birthday Weekend”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 14, 2011

It was a perfect weekend getaway to celebrate a birthday. My husband and I stayed in the whirlpool suite (romantic package). This was one of the most relaxing trips we had. The morning walks along the beach was refreshing and great for bonding and planning the day's activities.
Room was clean and neat. Staff attention to detail and planning was incredible. They went all out to help me plan for the birthday celebration (from special birthday cake, birthday dinner, tips for places to visit). The breakfast spread at the hotel has a nice spread of hot & cold items.
The dinner at The Bay House was simply amazing. We decided to check-put the Beach Dog cafe for breakfast and it was a pleasant surprise. Great service and food at both location.
A wonderful and memorable getaway!

Room Tip: Higher and corner units are best for us. We did not have to deal too much with the sound from neigh...

We picked Looking glass for it's location and that it took pets. We had a long weekend for a birthday celbration and wanted to take our dog on her first trip to the coast. We found the room-the one bedroom suite-to be very spacious, clean and nice. Not super luxurious, but a very nice suite. The hotel is very close to the ocean, near some shops and Mo's restaurant. We very much enjoyed our stay as we walked on the beach, read and just hung out. The staff was very nice and even the miminal continental breakfast they provide was perfect for what we wanted. Only down side might hearing the poeple upstairs when they were there walking around. Not a deal breaker, but you could definitely hear them. We are already planning our next stay at this very nice, very reasonable hotel.

Room Tip: bottom floors seem noiser from the rooms upstairs. Whirlpool rooms don't take pets

My husband and I stayed in the whirlpool suite. The room was small, but very clean. My issue was the noise. You could hear the neighbors walking above us and the TV's from the next door neighbors. I was awaken about 1am by the neighbors whirlpool tub starting up. I won't come back!

We enjoyed staying in this hotel w our 5 and 8 yr old sharing the sleeper sofa leaving us a private room. The beach was just across the street and was full of big driftwood. We lit a small beach fire in one of the drift logs as a fisherman near by had. The boys played in their drift wood hideouts while we watched the sunset. The beach is nicely wind sheltered too. Mo's is so-so. We enjoyed eating at restaurant Pier 101 a five min drive north. Or the restaurant in the old hotel by the casino was great for views and food. It was great to have our doggy welcome basket w bones sheets n dog dishes at the hotel! The boys loved the cookies at night. Wish the bathrooms were more spacious but it was very clean tho somewhat dated. Lovely getaway!

My husband and I have stayed at this beautiful little Inn three times now. Two of the three times we stayed in a one room suite with kitchenette, and the other time was in a double queen room with fireplace. All three times we were impressed by the clean rooms and pet odor free, dog friendly accommodations.

Check in/out: Checking in and out has been a breeze. Very friendly and informative staff will even accommodate you on a late arrival if needed. If you're bringing your canine companion, upon check-in your little friend gets the following in a basket; 2 towels, 2 white sheets, 2 bowls for food and water, 2 milk bone, and a few doggie bags for scooping Fido's excrement. These things are great to have because you never know just what you'll forget to bring with you to care for Fido.

Rooms: Clean and comfy sheets. No smell of dogs (urine or otherwise). No pet hair to be found. No sand found. All three times we've been the rooms have been ridiculously clean.

Pet Area: Clean, pooper scooper and garbage can available. Even a fire hydrant "planted" in the grass for Fido to lift his leg on, if he's a lifter.

Location: Across the street from Mo's in Siletz Bay. Within 500 feet from the beach. You can see the seals playing in the surf in the bay, and taking a walk to the ocean, there's a log of leg room for Fido to sniff and play. We've seen whales in the distance when we've been out walking our pooch, and have loved how close we are to the room.

Value: We've always got incredible rates for nearly beach front location. However we have *not* traveled during the summer months. Only Oct- April.

We love this place and we'll definitely be back for a fourth and fifth, and more visits after that!

Room Tip: We really like the one room suite. Room 111 is great!

A very welcoming place to stay on the Oregon coast. Dogs are welcome and are very happy her. It is right across from the bay that has wonderful places to fish, crab and have fires on the beach. Staff are very helpful and friendly. We had a suite with a kitchen that had most things we needed to cook an evening meal. Will stay here again.

Room Tip: Try a view room.
