My boyfriend and I took a vacation visiting the pacific coast, from the California redwoods up to Washington on hwy101. We found this place by chance when driving around looking for somewhere to stay the night. First impression is that this is the PERFECT beach inn to stay at. Beautiful, simple structure that looked clean and welcoming, and we thought if it looks this good from the outside it has to be nice inside! The price was only $69 for a one night stay at the end of October. We had an ocean view suite with a king size bed, in room jacuzzi and deck to sit out on. The room was PERFECTLY clean! The room had a nice flat screen tv so my boyfriend was quite happy watching the world series, and we both enjoyed the complimentary robes to sit in comfort while out on the deck watching the waves. Great restaurants within walking distance. I have been staying on the coast for vacations since I was a child and I have to admit, this was my BEST experience and BEST stay I have ever had. I would drive and stay here for a week just to relax.

My husband and I arrived at 7pm after a long day driving and couldn't wait to get there. Upon our arrival we were welcomed by a very friendly and efficient young girl, who checked us in swiftly and guided us to the cookies on offer! Once we got into our room I found out we had been upgraded to an ocean view jacuzzi room free of charge! This my husband has arranged with the deputy manager as a surprise for my birthday. We also had champagne and chocolates in the room with Rose petals on the bed, such a nice surprise and we were both really pleased with the effort involved especially as they only had a nights notice!

We loved it s much we asked to stay another night and they gave it to us for the same price as a normal room again - so pleased!

Our room had 3 windows and each one had a view of the ocean - yes it does have the car park as well but it is close enough to hear the ocean at night :) was lovely to have the balcony door open with the fire on so we could stay warm and hear the ocean...

Breakfast was the same as what you would get anywhere else- coffee, tea, juice, cereal, bagels, muffins, youghurts & fruit. There is only a small area to eat at but they provide trays so you can take your selection back to your room - great idea!

We got takeout from Mo's just across the road was delicious!the beach is a 1 minute walk across the street and it's lovely to stroll along or sit on the driftwood and watch the waves crashing together

It is about a 5 minute walk to the supermarket, I think you would need to drive though to ge to any other restaurants or shops but it's a small place so nothing is more than 5 minutes away and it's worth it to be off the main road and so close to the beach

We hope to return to this part of the world again someday and if we do we will definitely choose the looking glass in

We are two adults who reserved the two bedroom suite for three nights here ($178 per night in October), sharing a vacation with a friend who has two dogs. She had a smaller suite in the adjacent building ~ very convenient!
Our apartment was huge ~ hers perfectly adequate. We met after breakfast (served in the office, but with trays so you could take it to your rooms) for walks with her dogs. From this wonderful location you can stroll to the left along the bay all the way up to the small park at 101 (great interpretative info in park kiosk)) then back, passing Looking Glass, Mo's, the pier and the salmon fishermen standing on the bayshore, to the ocean. A left turn there takes you along the beach to Inn at Spanish Head where you should have at least one dinner in their rooftop restaurant (early bird specials before 5:30). The rocks here at low tide have colonies of star fish that are spectacular. There is a great difference between the bay walk and that of the oceanside. Both fascinating.
This is a Westover Inn and so the staff is outstanding in service, the accommodations always sparkling clean, the locations near other attractions. We will be going back and so will our friend and her dogs!

Room Tip: We will take the upstairs suite next time because it has an even better view, and so we will not hav...

My new husband and I had a wonderful honeymoon stay at Looking Glass Inn. Jacuzzi everyday, cooking what we like in the kitchenette, watching the ocean tide from every window in the room and balcony, excellent room service, friendly staff. We love it there.

Room Tip: Corner suites are great, wonderful view of ocean and bay.

Not only do they accept dogs of all sizes but this hotel welcomes your pet with a basket with food and water dishes. Extra "dog" towels for the beach and dog biscuits instead of chocolates.

Many of us who are "dog people" find it hard to travel with our pets. The Looking Glass Inn makes it a pleasure. Located in the historic Taft District the Inn sits across from the famous chowder house Mo's. Easy access to a great walking beach that goes for miles.

As a person who spends half their life in a hotel I enjoy a place I can stay.....walk around and enjoy what the locals have. This is one of those places. A grocery store you can walk to and a room you can cook in. Free continental breakfast and a very friendly staff makes this place feel like home.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone who travels with their dog. It truly is a "Dog Hotel" that takes Humans. Big thumbs up.

Room Tip: The rooms that are in the most demand are the ones that are just behind the reception office.

We've stayed at the Looking Glass Inn half a dozen times now and it truly is the best place to stay in Lincoln City. The staff and rooms are always wonderful and the location can't be beat. Great place to bring your dogs, pooch friendly all the way. We have stayed at quite a few other hotels in Lincoln city but we always come back to the looking glass, for the price, location, room and staff you'll have a hard time going any where else.

Room Tip: All rooms are great
