We stopped at Maxwell's for lunch on the way home after a night at the beach. The fish sandwich was average, the cocktail sauce was good, and the shoestring fries were crisp. I also tried the clam chowder which was good. My husband had the Ceasar Salad. The portion wasn't very big for a $9 salad without chicken. Our son had mac and cheese. I was glad to see that it wasn't Kraft from the box. Both my husband and son got garlic toast, which they liked.
The hostess who seated us was very friendly, but our server didn't say much. He wasn't rude, but not very attentive. It took awhile to order and get our food, but at the end of the meal we had 3 different staff ask if we needed a box. The hostess finally brought us one. Then we had to wait for our check. The price was fine, but the so was the experience. I did see other families there that seemed to have faster or more attentive service though.
