“No Barnacles on This Fish Market!”
Reviewed April 7, 2013

Barnacle Bill's is a fish market that carries local seafood. Also smoked fish. It looks dumpy from the outside, but is obviously well-managed. The clerks (wait help?!?) were EAGER to help and give advice. They will cut fish into whatever sizes/weights you want. We hit the beginning of the salmon season and it was the best looking salmon I have seen. (The clerk said that the salmon in the case had been cut just fifteen minutes before, and was off a boat from Newport just down the road. "If it was any fresher it would still be swimming!") The smoked items ranged from moist to dry, depending on what you want to do with them. Nothing is "cheap," but the prices are very fair for what you receive. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

“Stop in for the salmon!”
Reviewed April 1, 2013

Stopped here while staying in Lincoln City on vacation. As a walk-up, seafood market this isn't really a restaurant, so have someplace else to go and eat/prepare your delicious seafood. We had the smoked salmon, which was among the best we've ever tasted. Although ~$20/lb, you'll be enjoying a real taste treat. The "moist" cuts are the best (mainly the fattier, belly meat), and the smoked salmon & cream cheese dip ($10 for two ~8 oz tubs) is also great. Combine the two on sandwich bread for a quick meal while on the beach, which offers much better views than the market (located on a busy corner with no place to sit down anyway). Oh, they don't take credit cards, so have cash, check or traveler's cheques available.

Reviewed March 14, 2013

Ask for the most moist smoked salmon. They offer dry, medium and moist, This place has been around for years and they are very expensive but worth the treat, All kinds of seafood offered and all of it fresh and excellent. I stop every time I am in Lincoln City, Just off hwy 101 going North on the right hand side.

This place has been around for years. Always has fresh and good selection of local seafood. It's right on Hwy 101 so you can't miss it.

“Smoked Salomnn”

The best smoked salmon you may be able to buy anywhere. Have been going here for years and always a premium. Also, give the pickled prawns a taste, your taste buds will thank you.
