“Great steak!”
Reviewed November 1, 2013 via mobile

It is mostly steak and seafood, although the name suggests Italian.Great soup in a nice restaurant. Good steaks and they split it for the two of us, adding soup salad and starch for a very reasonable cost. I'd definitely stop again.

“Delightful Dinner”
Reviewed October 17, 2013

What a great surprise to find such a quality meal in a small town. Right from the get go the salad was fresh and tasty and served with wonderful soft dinner rolls served very uniquely in a sort of paper cone. Our server was very attentive with out being intrusive and our dinners arrived piping hot. My husband had a perfectly cooked Teriyaki New York Strip and I had the Tempura Prawns both were delicious. We have certainly had more expensive meals in bigger towns that weren't nearly as good. If we are ever in Lakeview again we would most definitely go back.

“A special dining experience”
Reviewed October 16, 2013

An amazing find in a town miles from anywhere and it made for a very welcome change to the usual roadside diners. The atmosphere is quiet, unrushed and with dimmed lighting. The waiters were most professional and very attentive but not too overpowering. Although we were only in Lakeview for one night I'm guessing this is by far the best eatery in town.

If you are looking for something a bit special where you can linger a bit longer over your meal with a nice bottle of wine then I'd recommend stopping by.

“Best restaurant in town?”
Reviewed October 11, 2013 via mobile

I had the special rib eye with whiskey sauce. It was OK. The steak was thin and not especially flavorful. The salad dressings were limited. The house rolls were great. In light of the options maybe the best restaurant in town.

“Fine dining in Lakeview?”
Reviewed October 1, 2013

Lakeview, Oregon, is a small, isolated rural community dependent on traffic from the highway running through the middle of it, probably the last place on earth you'd look for fine dining. Yet, Mario's Dinnerhouse comes pretty close. I'd describe it as a Chinese Italian steakhouse. The menu isn't quite as large as that description might indicate, but it's certainly varied. We had lemon chicken and chicken alfredo and traded back and forth. Both were very good, and the homemade vegetable beef noodle soup was outstanding. The service was attentive, but it took so long to get the check that we gave up and started searching for someone to take our money. The atmosphere is rather elegant, especially for Lakeview, but the place is not very large and the noise from a large drunk group across the room really spoiled the experience for us. I can't imagine Lakeview has a restaurant to match Mario's, and it could hold its own in much larger cities. Thanks, Trip Advisor, for steering us in the right direction.
