I've visited this delightful cafe several times in Lake Oswego, where my sister lives. The location is at the town park overlooking the bay. The coffee, baked treats, and breads are delicious, prepared much like a patisserie or konditorei in France, Switzerland, Belgium, or Germany. It's one of the few bakeries I have found in the US where the rolls actually taste like those in Europe. The cafe gets crowded at certain times, so lines can be long. But, the service is polite and efficient. For the summertime free concerts in the park, the bakery provides a coupon for very reasonably priced box lunches. During the Saturday farmers' market, the cafe also gets very crowded. At other times, though, one can enjoy the relaxed atmosphere, delicious food and coffee, wifi, and visit with friends.

We stopped at St. Honore's while waiting for a family member. We only had coffee and pastry while we passed the time but looked at their menu and saw lots of good choices for breakfast, lunch, etc. All the baked goods in the case looked wonderful and they have a large selection of coffee and tea choices. It's a great place to people watch, either inside or at an outside table, while you enjoy a meal or snack.

met a friend for a light lunch - very mediocre - we shared soup, salad, and a sandwich - the Jambon Parisien . wilted lettuce, no mustard or butter, dry bread that reminded me of wang leather. i have good teeth and a strong jaw, but i could not take a bite off the sandwich. three out of the 4 "servers" have been to french class to learn the proper "attitude" - ergo, no smiles, not happy, and "i'm only getting you the things i forgot to put on the sandwich as a big favor." hey, it IS french! also loud and noisy...

so i am still trying to figure out what others see in this place...save yourself the trouble and go somewhere where they appreciate your business.
