Expecting a 2 star we were pleasantly suprised. The hotel has beautiful wood floors and a victorian/late western feel. The desk clerk was pleasant at check-in and the rooms were good size and extremely clean. Only complaints and they were minor was that there is a train nearby so you could here it in contrast to the quietness of the hotel and surrounding area. The second complaint would be the breakfast which was un upgraded continental breakfast which was decent; however, the server made me feel like I was back in the school lunchroom being scolded. A bit unfriendly or consumed with her work but she ran an efficient and clean operation. Parking is no problem. Pets are allowed but it appears that they are limited to specific areas of the hotel. Pool and spa were under construction on Nov. 9th without any mention of this on their website or when i called to confirm. This was disappointing as we were looking forward to relaxing after a 340 mile drive that day.

Room Tip: As for a room on the second floor at the end of the hall. I beleive we were in room 220 which was a...

We were looking for a convenient way station between Newberry Volcanic Monument and Crate Lake and this fitted the bill.

Typical of what you might expect from a Best Western - adequate rooms, friendly service and complimentary breakfast. The latter had a reasonable choice - although seating area quite limited so some guests had to stand/wait.

Pool was small but good for a family splash around, supermarket just across the road for picnic purchases and reception recommended a Chinese restaurant just behind the hotel which served huge portions of great tasting food (then head over to the other side of the hotel for an McFlurry!")

Stayed a night here while visiting Bend and the Newberry Vat'l Volcanic Monument because most of the Bend hotels were full by the time we booked. Nice lobby, rooms were clean and spacious. Pool and hot tub were a definite plus. The hotel website advertises a free continental breakfast, but it's so much more than that. Ate plenty and was nourished enough to last through a day of hiking the lava flows at the monument, the Lava River Cave, and the lava cast forest.

The Lobby is very nice, but who sleeps in the lobby?

For a $100+ Best Western, I found the hotel not up to the quality of a BW. The rooms were large, but the bedding was cheap. The bath tub was so small, it could not accommodate an adult. There was no counter space in the bathroom. There was no laundry service for guests. Late check-out would not be extended past noon.

On the plus side, rooms were clean and the pool was nice. The breakfast staff person was vert kind and helpful.

The day front desk clerk was not very helpful.

This Best Western hotel is a very safe, quiet, and comfortable place to stay. I really liked the classy lobby with the lovely staircase and elegant chandelier. The beds were comfortable and the staff efficient and friendly.

Loved this hotel! In a small town it shines! Beautiful foyer, good sized rooms, clean & affordable!
Pool was nice, hot deluxe breakfast included. Yum! We found ourselves there on a redirected vacation, but will seek it out next time!

The cozy elegant lobby has a fireplace, friendly staff, nice atmosphere. The guest rooms have a 37" flat screen TV with HBO, pillow top mattress, free wireless internet, AZ, microwave and refrigerator. Continental breakfast is included in the room rate. Also they have a indoor heated 24 hour pool and whirlpool hot tub. They are also pet friendly. Rooms are very pretty and clean, they did have problems with the circuit breakers during the breakfast with toaster and waffle iron, power kept going out.
