If you want friendly service with a clean place to stay, this is your stop. The beds were perfect with just right pillows. Cooling system worked perfectly. A little noisy with the train whistle about a mile away.

The staff was nice and check in/check out wasn't a big hassle. The location is nice and easy off the freeway just a little tucked back behind a gas station. There is an overall musty/damp type smell to the hotel. The room was clean but you can tell this is an older hotel and a little worn down. My son walked back from the pool with bare feet and I noticed his soles were black when he got back to our room. The beds and pillows are not comfortable at all. I had a rough nights sleep. I heard my neighbors TV til 10:00 pm and then flew out of bed when they turned on the shower at 0600 because it literally sounded like it was right next to my head. The pool was bigger then normal and finally a hotel that has figured out to put a bathroom next to the pool for my children- YAY!! A downturn was the breakfast. It was your typical waffles, rolls in a bag, yogurts, and juice from a box machine. The problem is that the room is seperate from the hotel and is TINY!!! I mean, small tiny. There are only 4 tables in the little room and the food counter is right next to the tables. Everyone is on top on everyone. There really isn't a place to stand while waiting in line without standing by someone's table and touching it while waiting there. We ended up taking our food back to our room because there was nowhere to sit. Not cool with 3 kids. I looked for many hotels in La Grande and there just weren't many options. We picked the best hotel for the area knowing that it wasn't going to be a great option but you just deal with the best you can.

Room Tip: There is no elevator to the second floor. If you have a hard time with stairs then you have to requ...

We stayed for a Saturday night. We arrived early and found the motel to be very strict about the 3:00PM check in. Our room was Spartan. TV Reception was poor. Beds were hard as stone. Bath towels and pillows were too small. The room did have a hair dryer, coffeemaker and a fridge, which were appreciated. The included breakfast wasn't bad, but certainly nothing special. The room would have been a good value at $75/night, but the $94/night we paid? We found it overpriced for what was delivered. I would have given this an overall rating of 2, but everything (other than the bed spread) was clean. Again, the experience wasn't horrid, just average and overpriced. I will look elswehere for a better value when I stay in La Grande next.

Room Tip: The Sandman Inn, Best Western and America's Best Value Inn are all within a few hundred yards of...

We stayed here while riding on the back roads of Oregon. The rooms were clean and well appointed. The staff was also helpful and friendly. Fast food, groceries and fuel are nearby.

We spent $900 for three couples for three rooms for four nites. Because we booked through Expedia the hotel refused to refund $80 for an unexpected illness for one of the couples! They would not make an exception! This is poor customer service! The hotel manager is rude but the corporate representative got right back to me and was nice. The continental breakfast is horrible...no protein... Only carbs The hot tub is not jetted and there were lots of little kids in it! Next time (and there will a next time!) we will stay across the street at the American Inn where the pool is open 24 hours!

Room Tip: Go across the street!

Checked in with a group, only one person working and took a long time to get every one checked in. Room was clean and average. Good bed and quiet. Skip the continental breakfast and walk across the parking lot to McDonalds. Dutch Brothers Coffee is a block away.
