“Not Your Average Best Western”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 2, 2013

Walking into the lobby, you know this is not what we expect from BW's. Definitely higher class. Asked @ front desk & learned this originally was a lodge that eventually became a BW. The breakfast is also above average. Real plates, glasses, flatware and cups. No throw-aways. Very reasonable for what you get.

Room Tip: In a quiet location - don't think any room would be bad.

We stayed here for three nights on our touring holiday. Rooms were extremely comfortable and quiet and staff were very helpful, advising on things to do in the area and printing off details and directions. Cookies are freshly baked every evening and are delicious. The breakfasts had a good choice but one morning, although we arrived at the same time as usual, things hadn't been replenished and there was hardly anything left. This is the one reason why I don't give it an excellent rating.

Rather unusual decor, stuffed animal heads, Italian tiling around the walls, hmm. Other than that it was fine. The rooms were also rather dated looking, but the bed was new, as was the bedding. It was clean and quiet and served our purpose well. Very reasonably priced and good for a one-night stay on our way through Oregon. Personnel were very nice. They had the average breakfast items in the morning and they had fresh baked cookies in the evening. The whole place smelled or chocolate chip and oatmeal raisin cookies. That is a good smell.

Such a nice Best Western at such a reasonable price. The lobby reminds you of a hunting lodge..lots of stuffed native animals around. They were all from animals hit on the road. The breakfast was absolutely marvelous with many different items to choose from. Cookies and milk in the evening go very fast. The rooms were clean and roomy. Good TV and satellite stations. Very nice and helpful people at the desk. A great place to return to thru all our travels that direction.

We were heading south last winter in the snow. I guaranteed our room for late arrival just in case which was good, because it was late when we finally got in -- and our room was ready. The rooms are clean and well furnished; staff is friendly and helpful. And the breakfast the next morning was unbelievable!! Wide variety of food offered, all good -- hot food hot, cold food cold -- and it's included in the room price. We felt this was a great value and a very nice place and will plan to stop there again on our way south this next trip.

We stayed at this best western in Klamath Falls while on vacation to explore the CA lava caves. This is hands down the nicest Best Western I've ever stayed in and I've stayed in quite a few in many different places. The front lobby was very nicely appointed though the dead carcasses (mounted animals) aren't to my personal liking, others seemed impressed. We started with a double-queen and got moved to a King. Pick the king - lots more room. Plus, stay on the top floor, as all hotels, that is the quietest level. They served breakfast (typical choices - eggs, sausage, gravy, cereal, etc), dinner (soup & salad - never tried) and evening cookies. The cookies and soup smelled great, but I didn't try any. I would definitely stay at this hotel again should I ever be in the area. There are 3 restaurants that served wonderful meals - Mr. B's steakhouse, Rooster's Steakhouse (downtown), and Wubba's BBQ. The steakhouse have a nice atmosphere that makes you feel like you should be dressed nicely. Wubba's no need.

We stayed at the Best Western on a trip to Crater Lake. We were impressed with the staff immediately with their friendly helpful attitude. We arrived as a salad bar was being set up and were very surprised that it was free. Came back to the room after dinner and found warm cookies for us to eat. We had breakfast both mornings and found it to be the best we had on our 30 day trip (again at no cost). Overall, the rooms and amenities made the stay one of the most pleasant we had.
