My wife and I traveled to Klamath Falls, Oregon, for the 2013 USBC bowling tournament. I decided to give the Holiday Inn a try, as I had good luck with them in Europe, and the other hotels, from my web searches, seemed to be mostly junk. We arrived at about 5pm, and the check-in was effortless. The desk person only gave us one key, so I had to go back for another (maybe she asked me and I was just distracted by something else). The room was very clean and generally well maintained, but there were a couple of little glitches: 1) The bathroom door handle was loose; 2) The towel hook in the bathroom wall, next to the shower, was pulling out of the wall; 3) The A/C was VERY noisy. Since it was nice and cool at night we decided to sleep with the window open (they only allow them to be opened about 4 inches) - we were on the 4th floor, so no worries about security. TV quality was a bit iffy - seems we had a hi-def TV, but no hi-def TV signal. Bed was exceptionally comfortable, but I like them on the soft side...not everyone does. Breakfast was very good, for a hotel without a restaurant - milk, yogurt, cereal, scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits/gravy, pancakes. I don't drink coffee, but according to my wife, it wasn't so great. Didn't have a chance to try the pool or the other facilities (pool / fitness). They've got a nice little business center just off the lobby. Ice and vending is in the elevator lobby on each floor. For a short building (only 4 floors), the elevators are kind of slow, but, oh, well. Plenty of places to eat within a 5 minute drive. Next time I'm in Klamath Falls, this is definitely where I'll stay.
