Description: A Leap of Taste is an independently owned and operated cafe that offers exceptional beverages and food, a unique shopping experience and a welcoming environment. More than that, A Leap of Taste supports young adults through an on-the-job training program that strives to teach students workplace ethics, healthy choices, community participation and self-efficacy. As much as possible, A Leap of Taste carries items that are local and sustainable. Items include whole bean coffee, free-range beef, honey, cheeses, cured meats, bulk spices, chocolates and gifts. We carry products from Fresh Green Organics, Aerie Acre, Flying T beef, Potential Farms, Cafe Mam, The Good Bean, Pickled Planet, The Green Blade Bakery and more. A Leap of Taste is owned by local business owners who run an adult transitional living program called Dragonfly Transitions. A Leap of Taste offers students of that program the ability to receive on the job training to be more equipped for an independent life.

Such friendly and helpful folks here. Menu is very unique and they helped my create a perfect picnic lunch for our trip to Crater Lake. They made a special order cheese sandwich for my grandson and that helped me a LOT! Our sandwiches were delicious!

A Leap of Taste is a great spot to stop for a sandwich or salad or coffee. They have a variety of exotic food items that can be purchased, as well. It's not a large place, but it has a cozy "bohemian" feel and the food is excellent!

I work in the same building as Leap of Taste and am a frequent customer.
Leap of taste has a nice selection of sandwiches with great bread choices. My favorite is the vegetarian with the "grainfather" bread, a local handmade bread. There is also a wide selection of chocolate from Euphoria chocolates made in Eugene. My favorite are the truffles. A selection of gourmet cheese and other deli items are also featured along with a soup of the day. The coffee is fair trade and always excellent. This is a locally owned and operated establishment that has a homey feel where you can get your meal to go or just hang out. There is also free wi-fi.

We stopped in one day passing through town to get some coffee and food. Little did we know we were going to spend $25 for a two person lunch. The sandwich was pretty good, very filling, the coffee was good, but the lady who was working was rude. Not only was she not friendly but she was short with us like we were a nuisance for her. She has brown hair and wears a stupid Hannah montana hat. The service alone is a wonderful deterrent for us to never go back

As the new manager of A Leap of Taste, I would love to extend the invitation to come buy and give us another try. We have worked very hard over the last few years to respond to customer feedback.

Our new cook has added great variety to our menu and you should easily be able to find, healthy, fresh and tasty options for lunch well under $25. We have organic soups and deli salads made daily and the sandwiches use only the best ingredients.

To our regulars and future customers, we love feedback, keep it coming.
