Magnolia Inn
Ranked #3 of 8 Jacksonville B&B and Inns

We spent one night at the Magnolia Inn. We go to the Britt Festival once or twice a summer, so we are fairly familiar with Jacksonville. The Magnolia Inn is a pleasant, midrange spot for Jacksonville. It is located on one of the main roads into town (but it is a quiet town), and a few blocks off the main shopping street. The rooms are somewhat small, so I would not want to be there for longer than a weekend, but each has their own bathroom with nice toiletries. Their decor is Victorian, and it feels a little dated, but that is true of other inns like the Jacksonville Inn. The bed was comfortable. Our room, the Eva, is directly across from the guest kitchen. Convenient to get ice late at night, but not very private if you have romance in mind. Their website has a clever display of each room's location in the building so you can select a more private spot. Breakfast is self-serve pastry. Tasty, and easy to take with you if you have to hit the road, but not the full experience I prefer on a leisurely stay, as it is at other inns like Touvelle House and the Jacksonville Inn.

Room Tip: Look at the pop out building diagram on their website to see exactly where your room is located.

We went to the Magnolia Inn with friends to explore a new area of Oregon we had never visited. Our stay was delightful and Susan was more than accommodating to meet our needs (Robert was out of town for the weekend). Rooms are very nicely appointed, extremely clean with thoughtful touches to enhance your stay. We were provided discounted coupons for local wineries, activities, boutiques etc. Susan did not steer us wrong on any of her suggestions. The little extras she provided for us with her hospitality made for a very relaxing and pleasant stay. We will visit here again.

Can't say enough about our groups wonderful stay at the Magnolia Inn. Jacksonville Oregon is a wonderful little historic town with shops and great places to eat. Our Motorcycle group took the whole Inn over for week and had a marvelous time visiting the Britt Festival with Kenny Logins, My Fair Lady at the Shakespearian, Crater Lake, Oregon Caves.....just to name a few! The Inn was charming and very comfortable. We enjoyed the baked treats created by Susan Roos for breakfast each morning on the upstairs balcony after a wonderful rest in our old fashion room in the worlds most comfortable bed! My wife and I are looking forward to another visit!!

Great place to stay! The owners are wonderful, my girlfriend and I stayed there after attending the Britt Festival. The ambiance is so cute, our room was perfect. Great continental breakfast with plenty to eat. Jacksonville is a lovely town to visit and staying here was the best.

We stayed the night to attend the Cyndy Lauper concert in Jacksonville. Our well mannered poodle/German shepherd mix was equally welcomed into our room on the first floor, the remainder of the accommodations are on the second floor. We were given dog info for local walking and instructions for limited dog access within the Inn (main floor only, on leash, etc.)
Quiet location close to downtown, easy walk to Brit Festival. Lovely grounds.

Breakfast, also on the second floor and on the pleasant adjoining veranda, was excellent, and included some delicious home baked pastries.
We would definitely stay again, and would recommend to all.

This inn is across the street from the old courthouse, and on the same block as the historic Catholic church. We stayed in the Eva room, and it was very pretty, with lots of light coming in. The grounds were well kept, and the gentleman who greeted us in arrival was very friendly. We had breakfast on an upstairs balcony, and it was very nice. My only regret is that the big magnolia tree wasn't quite in full bloom yet, but there were several large flowers already open. A very nice place to stay.

Room Tip: The Eva room is a good room if you like morning sun. If you want to sleep in, a room at the back of...

We were only able to spend one night at Magnolia Inn but thoroughly enjoyed the hospitality of the owners, Robert and Susan Roos - and Abby, their dog. The rooms are very nicely decorated with many amenities. Breakfast with Susan's homemade scones was delicious. The location is perfect and within walking distance of the Britt Festival. We would highly recommend staying at Magnolia Inn.
