First time here. There were 5 of us women 50 and up, and our wait person took everything in stride. The menu selections were such that I had a difficult time making a selection. Settled on the grilled romaine and the salmon, served with jasmine rice and
sauteed spinach. We shared a bottle of the wonderful Roxy Ann Pinot Gris. Only one person did not choose the salmon, and she had sesame and scallion crusted ling cod with soba noodles. That was also very tasty. The salmon was a little underdone for some, mine was perfect. The portions are small, not for the big eater. The selections were so elegant and delicious. One person ordered the couscous salad, and it was tangy and flavorful. We shared creme brulee and a yummy chocolate layer cake for dessert. I am looking forward to returning to try some other selections. The room is
small, and in the summer will probably spill out into the garden. My cost with 1/2 of the bottle of wine and one of the desserts plus tip was $50. William Prahl has been a well
thought of chef in this valley for years. This new venture was a big hit with me.

Try it folks. Just as good as quality, service and selection as the other menus in town, A little less price than it's competiton. The flat iron steak was sinful and the salmon prepared perfect. I wish they would include more local wines on their list.

The guys at Deja Vu Bistro really prepare outstanding cuisine for a reasonable price. The Bistro is in Jacksonville, a charming small town with a 19th Century center, shops, and the Britt music festivals, near Medford and Ashland in southwest Oregon. The restaurant has seating outdoors and in. Service was prompt and friendly but not intrusive. The wine list was more than adequate, and the courses divine. I had baby back ribs in a hoisin barbecue sauce that were out of this world, and my friend ordered an absolutely delicious ling cod. This was one of the finest meals we had on our week-long trip to Oregon. I highly recommend Deja Vu Bistro.

We had one of the best meals of our lives at De Ja'Vu and we're in our 60's! This upscale but very comfortable and casual restaurant is on the premises of the historic McCully House where we were staying while traveling from San Francisco to see our daughter and family in Washington. The very fresh ahi tuna tartar with hijiki seaweed salad bursted with fresh flavors in your mouth. I kept steeling from my husband's plate. I had the grilled polenta with wild mushroom appetizer which may be familiar to many but here at De Ja'Vu was way above expectation. After wine and the two plentiful appetizers, we still had room for two entrees of very tender marinated flat iron steak served with smashed yams and french green beans. Did I say "to die for"! We finished our night with a vanilla bean gelato and chocolate mouse spiked with brandy. We loved it so much we're stopping on the way home to try other items on the menu. Our bill was $89 for all the above--very reasonably priced. I would have expected the cost to be much higher in our San Francisco bay area. I was a bit puzzled by what seemed like "grocery store" rolls that were served. I expected nice house made breads or good french bread to go with the balsamic vinegar and olive oil that was on the table. Locals told us the owners had another restaurant in town and the food was consistently very high quality. They just moved to the new location recently. Eat on the patio in nice weather. It's very charming.
