Stonehedge Gardens was highly recommended by the clerk at the Vagabond Inn where we were staying. IIt turned out to be in an older home with an attractive garden setting, which made the food and service even more enjoyable.

This restaurant is well hidden up a gravel path in the woods. There are gardens around the restaurant which adds to the ambience.

Make a reservation because they might be closed for a wedding.

The Filet Mignon and Mushroom Ravioli were good. The filet was more like a prime rib, very juice.

We have eaten at Stonehedge many times but have never been able to take our friends there while visiting Hood River. There would be a wedding, that closed the restaurant to the public, or the tables would be booked. This time we called and got reservations! We arrived at 7:30 and were seated and waited for quite a little while for someone to come take our order. Three of the people in the party ordered wine, and one ordered a soda. At the same time we placed our food order. We waited, and waited. A bus boy brought some bread and water, but that was it. We ate the bread, drank the water and waited and waited. A little after 8:00 we asked about our drinks. No reply. One of the party found the owner and asked about our drinks and that seemed to get things moving. We got drinks, finally. About 15 minutes later we got our soups and salads. They were good. The entrees were very good-excellent. The person who got the duckling was so pleased. We love the atmosphere here and have always had good service. I am not sure what the problem was during this visit.
We just felt a bit ignored!

Whenever we over night in Hood River, we eat dinner at Stonehedge. We have always enjoyed wonderful meals and service and last week was no exception. The outdoor setting is very pretty and indoors is cozy. The house salad is dressed with a pecan dressing that is the best I've ever had. The owner kindly sent some home with me. Apparently around the holidays they sell it and I will definitely try to get it on line.

Visited for our 20th Wedding Anniversary. The setting was amazing, a beautiful garden and peaceful atmosphere. The service was spectacular. The lemon drop martinis were awesome! However, the food was far below our expectations...which is the reason you come to a restaurant right? So..That was a disappointment and the reason I will not return..This would be a gorgeous venue for a wedding and reception. Meet the chef and taste the food before booking.
