“Prom Night - No Problem”
Reviewed May 12, 2014

We wanted to go have dinner where we could see the Columbia River and found the Riverside. It was Prom Night so the restaurant was booked and we ended up having dinner in the Bar - Cebu's. The food and the service was great and other than not having the pleasure of looking out the windows, we had a great meal - fresh, hot, and the service was excellent.

“Best Mothers Day Brunch ever!”
Reviewed May 11, 2014

Such an incredible combo! The only true waterfront restaurant in Hood River overlooking the wonderful Columbia, amazing well crafted healthy food and impeccable attentive service by Luis! Topped off by five families of Canadian Geese with their Goslings parading by. And even Osprey flying by now and then!
The food options are amazing for what you normally expect from a "best western" restaurant with a sustainable focus on local food, beer and wine. Very grateful for the many Gluten free options. They even compost!
A not to miss holiday brunch, although I suspect Luis is a wonderful server every day of the year. Put the sunny river deck on your hood river itinerary.

“Very, very good.”
Reviewed April 30, 2014 via mobile

We eat breakfast here probably 8-10 times per month. It is fabulous! First, the restaurant is situated on the banks of the Columbia River and the view is amazing. You can sit outdoors and in the morning on weekends they have heaters on the deck sometimes as well. The food is good and the service is excellent. I have to give a special shout out to my favorite server Luis who is excellent--remembers our favorite things along with personal anecdotes and stuff we have shared. Absolutely stellar service and keeps us all happy. For the food, there is a reasonable variety but not so much it causes analysis paralysis. I have enjoyed everything I have eaten. The service is somewhat fancy, while maintaining a casual atmosphere if that makes sense.

I tend to always enjoy the music as well.

I must mention that if you stay at the adjoining hotel, breakfast is free. And it is a very good, very nice breakfast with an excellent value. We save $40-60 for our family of 4 every time.

I enjoy the lunch menu as well.

I highly recommend!

“One great meal, luck, four? Incredible”
Reviewed April 27, 2014

We eight had eaten a big lunch and decided to share 4 entrees and 2 appetizers for dinner. We agreed that the food Primo prepared was PRIMO. A couple of us actually said, "best restaurant meal ever." Considering our older age average, that is a lot of meals. Scallops were amazing. . And mushrooms in sauces surrounding steak and fish specials. Halibut, especially was tops. Raves about mashed potatoes. And we thought this meal might be mediocre. Views at dinner were exceptional. Charlie did a wonderful job serving, as did Maria for breakfast. And. As I write this review after breakfast I look up and see the Columbia River fading into the morning light from our table.

“Excellent service with a fantastic view!”
Reviewed April 22, 2014

We visited for lunch with the family and had a great time. The atmosphere is average as it is an older Restaurant that is part of a hotel but everything else is top notch. The restaurant sits right on the river so the views are awesome. On a nice day sit outside. There are heaters on the deck so even if it is a little cool you will be comfortable. The food was very good. Five of us all ordered different things and we were all very happy, very generous proportions. Service was very good as well and that is one of the most important things to us when dining. Nice beer and wine selections from the local brewery's and vineyards put the icing on the cake. Great location for families with children.
