We ate at Riverside for breakfast because it is complimentary with your stay at the hotel. We were definitely impressed and it is not your average complimentary hotel breakfast. My husband chose the french toast and I had the yogurt and granola and we both enjoyed our meals, although they were pretty basic. The view is what makes this restaurant stand out. We sat on the deck and it was gorgeous. It definitely gets windy out there, but that is too be expected. Our server was really friendly as well and it was an overall lovely meal!

There are a whole bunch of interesting restaurants in Hood River, so it is tempting to avoid the obvious tourists' choice: a restaurant in the area's biggest chain motel. If you are vegetarian or not, go eat on the deck when the weather will allow. It's Oregon. It's outdoors. It's fun. But if you want to avoid meat, order the veggie burger. Wow. This is one of the best veggie burgers this veggie person has ever tasted. And it came with a view! I'm not sure what else I could ask for.

I have not stayed in the hotel, but have eaten in the lounge several times!! Cebu's Happy Hour is hard to beat! We love to stop on our way home to Portland for the delicious food and cheap prices. The menu selection is incredible, and has the perfect range of choices for even the pickest of eaters. We enjoyed the live music, Joel, and the service was comparable to the nicest restaurants we have eaten in around the state. Their servers are well versed in the local wines and proudly display their knowledge... The cocktail server (can't recall her name, but remember her telling us she has worked there a long time) paired our Amatratiana pasta (sp?) with the perfect white wine. The chef is AMAZING!!! You just don't find this quality of food in your normal happy hour lounges! We live so close we have yet to stay in the Hotel, but every staff member we have come into contact with always had a smile on their face. We try to time our trip home from Bend in time for Happy Hour. What a treasure right on the river! We generally don't eat in Best Western Hotels, but it is evident this Hotel is managed with pride!! We were pleasantly surprised to find Steven Smith's iced tea offered in the mixed drink menu... Next time!!!

Dear Myyrah D, Thank you for your great review about our Happy Hour. We often hear positive comments from our hotel guests but not as often do we hear from patrons just driving through town. You'll be happy to hear that we have some especially exciting news about our Happy Hour. Beginning next week we will be offering Happy Hour incentives and discounted gas prices at the Shell station at Exit 64 for patrons of Cebu. The discounts will be offered from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday. Become a Facebook friend of the Best Western Plus Hood River Inn for details next week. We look forward to seeing you when you next drive through Hood River!

Right on the Columbia River, with splendid views up and down the Columbia Gorge, it's amazing that the food is so much better than what it even needs to be! Every table and comfortable booth has a view and there is an outdoor seating area right beyond the edge of the dining area. The decor is elegant yet casual.
I had the salmon - perfectly done- roasted fingerling potatoes with just the right combination of crisp and tender, and bright green crunchy broccolini cooked exactly right. My partner had the macaroni and cheese, and a very generous portion it was, too. Wine was moderately priced. Dessert was wonderful -- a coconut creme bruille with a praline topping, topped with whipped cream It was big enough to share and then some. Entree prices throughout ranged from $17 - $30. There were attractive soups, starters and salads as well. Wine by the glass was available starting in the $7 range. Desserts were $7 and the selection was varied. Ours was absolutely delicious. Our server, Tina, was endlessly patient as we changed from outside to inside dining, changing with the weather. She always kept an eye out for us, neither hovering nor ignoring. We were never rushed and felt welcome to stay and enjoy the magnificent view and the comfortable surroundings for as long as we chose to.
Breakfast the next morning was equally delicious, with scrambled eggs perfectly done -- neither too moist nor too dry, fantastic local sausage seasoned with sage, choice of very good bacon (I shared with my partner) and seven grain toast. The bowl of fresh fruit we ordered on the side was delightfully cold, varied and yes - fresh. Coffee pours were frequent.
