After reading a few reviews, we sought this place out to try the carnitas.
Definitely a diamond-in-the-rough type of place, I wouldn't have walked in off the street. Inside is dark and modest, but clean. And it smells delicious!
We ordered a beef gordita and the pork carnitas. Both were very good. The carnitas portion size is huge. Between the two of us, we were barely able finish.
I think it was worth the trip away from the main drag to tour the orchard areas surrounding Hood River and seek out some delicious and authentic hand-crafted food.
