We were attending an RV rally at the county fairgrounds and a large group of us showed up at peak dinner time. They moved tables around outside and got us all seated. In spite of the fact that our group included a few "cranky old folks", we were quickly served chips and excellent home-made salsa and our orders were taken efficiently. The staff were interacting with the eating crowd and kept everyone laughing while we waited for our food. Lots of containers of leftovers went back to trailer refrigerators that evening. The food was outstanding. A slight breeze kept us cool outside and it ended up being a highlight of the weekend for many of us. We will absolutely go back again the next time we travel to Hood River.

We LOVE Taqueria, really. We go 4-5 times a month, mostly because the outside dining is the best in Hood River. The food is consistently good (the Angeles across the road is actually better (we go there in winter)) and the staff is friendly and generally fast.

Ok, so Spring in the Gorge is the time for training the summer help, so we understand our order disappearing into a hole and service being very puzzling and very slow (despite a small crowd), but I guess I can't understand a waitress who "has worked there 7 years and knows how we make our food" that the chimichanga we ordered was supposed to filled with shredded, dry, non-seasoned chicken and that the flavor comes from the sauce. HUH?

But I've ordered this before, many times and know that's not true. But again, according to this veteran waitress, I actually ordered something very different before (nope, positive what I ordered, but she was just as positive and was clear that I was wrong).

Disappointing lunch on a pretty day. We'll be back on nice days, just make sure not to order the dry, tasteless chimichanga.

Very yummy food, generous portion sizes and an abundance of menu options. The prices are what you expect from from better than average mexican food.

What a jewel in Hood River. If you enjoy good Mexican food Skip the tourist traps down town and dine here. Best chili relano (sp) any where. Fresh fresh fresh.

Stopped in here for a light afternoon snack. We shared the carnitas nachos with a margarita. Everything was fresh and I'd recommend.
