Thank you for trying our Lovely Denise Flourless Tart, and Gluten Free. We're all very proud of this tart named after our "Cover Girl" Denise. Its tasty, smooth, maybe next time you could try our other Gluten Free options, like French Macaron in several flavors. Again thank you

I was in Hood RIver for a Road Scholar trip on 4/23/13. My partner turned 70 years old the same day. I had surreptitiously ordered a cake for him from Knead Bakery. We arrived in Hood River just minutes before the bakery closed. A very friendly staff person got the cake for me and told me all about Hood River and various places we might eat. The cake was chocolate with caramel between the layers and butter cream frosting. We served it to six of us at a nearby brewpub after dinner. It was the MOST delicious cake I've every eaten - very dense. The next evening our entire group (26 of us) shared the remainder of the cake. Yes, that one cake was so dense that we cut it into 26 small pieces and still had one large piece left. EVERYONE loved it.

Stopped here for lunch with some friends and, while the loaves of bread looked amazing, their lunch selection was slim. We ordered sandwiches and a quiche tart. My sandwich was over grilled on the panini press which made it too hard and crunchy to enjoy. They were out of other lunch options and it was only 12:30 pm! Lack of dessert treats for a bakery. All this and overpriced. Won't go back.

Yes, this bakery is the real deal. Their ciabatta makes absolutely wonderful paninis. The epi baguettes have a perfectly baked crust and a yeasty, slightly chewy texture. The kalamata olive bread is an open crumb style artisan bread with a yeasty taste and large holes inside. The bread at Knead Bakery is phenomenal! We had a sticky bun and a savory scone for breakfast--needless to say they were also fantastic. Our only regret is that we live over 2 hours away so when we pass through Hood River we have to take home loaves of their bread and freeze it (which is still very good by the way). And last but not least, you will be hard pressed to find nicer people working at any food establishment.

The crew down at Knead bakes Super yummy bread and they offer many varieties. My favorites are the whole wheat walnut and the olive loaves. Great downtown stop for a coffee and a treat.
