Yes, this bakery is the real deal. Their ciabatta makes absolutely wonderful paninis. The epi baguettes have a perfectly baked crust and a yeasty, slightly chewy texture. The kalamata olive bread is an open crumb style artisan bread with a yeasty taste and large holes inside. The bread at Knead Bakery is phenomenal! We had a sticky bun and a savory scone for breakfast--needless to say they were also fantastic. Our only regret is that we live over 2 hours away so when we pass through Hood River we have to take home loaves of their bread and freeze it (which is still very good by the way). And last but not least, you will be hard pressed to find nicer people working at any food establishment.
