We stopped in for a wine tasting which was $5 per person. They give you a piece of paper and ask you to check off the 5 wines that you would like to try (which includes 1 reserve). All of the wines we tried were excellent and the woman behind the counter were not at all stuffy. If you purchase a bottle, which we did, the cost of the tasting will be applied to your purchase. They also have a cooler with cheese and crackers for sale, we purchased a platter for $10. We also bought a few glasses of wine and sat on the over-sized chair looking at nature.

Cathedral is up above Hood River, and has nice views of Mt. Hood and Mt. Adams. The tasting room is large, but seems inadequate when they get crowded, since it's geared for shopping the knick-knacks vs providing more seating for relaxing. (There are picnic tables outside, if you just want to buy a glass and go enjoy the view).
The staff is fine, nothing memorable in the positive or negative. The wines are good, with a mix of whites and reds to satisfy most palates. All are drinkable, but few truly 'outstanding' ones. This winery is very close to Marchesi Vineyards, a not-to-be-missed stop if you're wine tasting.

Fun place to stop off and sample the wares. Good cabs and syrahs. Nice try on the pinot noir but not up to the Willamette Valley.

We attended a wedding at Cathedral Ridge Winery on a Saturday night in July. The scenery is beautiful & the wine is delicious.

This is a very nice winery to visit, and excellent wines to purchase. We stopped, a group of six, to do some wine tasting. The lady doing the serving was well versed in the wines and knowledgable about the winery and wine processes. There was a $5 tasting fee for five wine tasting, which was waived with a purchase of a bottle of wine. She also recommended which other wineries in the area to visit.

The tasting room was attractive and clean. It was fairly busy, but we had plenty of service and attention from the staff. It was an enjoyable visit. I highly recommend stopping here. It is easy to find.
