“Cool spot for a hike”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 26, 2013

We hiked a couple miles of the Pacific Crest trail heading north from the Timberline Lodge. Very pretty. You'll bump into some other folks, but the further you get from the lodge, the fewer folks you'll see.

“Amazingly beautiful”

This is a must see. I have flown over it on my way to Portland before and thought it was striking, but up close, it was breathtaking!

“Beautiful!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 14, 2013

The drive is beautiful! They offer several hiking trails, even for those less experienced! I would definitely suggest getting a map, that way you can visit multiple waterfalls, and explore. My brother and I are expert hikers, and don't normally follow the basic trails. We ended up hiking for over 20 miles! It was amazing! Definitely something to put on your bucket list!

“Definitely go”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 13, 2013

This spectacular site should be on anyone's "to do list" while visiting Oregon. You can take short hikes around the base of the mountain from the parking lot of the Lodge. Free parking, and hikes are free too.

“Amazing experience”

The drive from Hood River to Mount Hood is beautiful. We drove up to Timberline Lodge and did a fantastic hike from the lodge to Zig Zag Canyon. The views are fantastic and highly recommend it.
