Not good facilities, but it is a nature reserve. Nice sights and photography opportunities.

I live in the Hillsboro area and it's a great way to get out of town in a very short amount of time. There are some beautiful birds around, and seeing the baby geese in the springtime will make you smile. Just be careful if you have alllergies. Unfortunately, some subdivision developments have recently become visible in the area, but there are still many places where you can still feel like you're in nature. Also, the clubhouse has recently become a pay-museum, not worth the price, just go out on your own for free and enjoy the preserve.

This is a great place to take kids. Whether on a field trip or just for fun. Lots of wooded areas, information about the different trees and plants, and many trails to choose from. Just make sure to wear tennis shoes and bug repellent.
