Great seafood! Fresh veggies, perfect spice so glad we stopped here and we will be back! We and another couple got there when it opened but no one was there until a few mins later the employees showed up, we waited a little to let the other people get started and not bombard them with people being that another car with four people showed up, once we went in we expected a wait and were pleasently surprised our door came quick hot and delicious and everyone's else's food smelled so good and looked amazing. Only complaint was that it was soooo cold inside. Can't wait to go back its a nice change from the typical hermiston area restaurants!

We have eaten here many times and have always had a great experience. The place is a bit eclectic since it is actually an old western motif steakhouse and still has the "spotted cow" upholstery in the booths. Combine that with the Thai music videos that run continuously on several big screens and you definitely have a blending of cultures before your very eyes. As for the basics, the service is very good and virtually everything I have ordered from the menu is fantastic. Honey roasted duck; garlic shrimp stir fry; papaya salad; and, of course, Pad Tai (Phat Thai) are just some of the dishes I can recommend. If you like Thai food and are in the area don't miss the Taste of Thai.

Taste of Thai was a nice surprise in Hermiston. You can enter from the street, but there is parking in the back and another entrance there. (If you need a handicapped entrance, use the street side.) Don’t be put off by the rough exterior. The restaurant is in a “repurposed” older building, but the inside is fine.
Taste of Thai is located in what obviously was previously a cowboy bar or nightclubs, with plenty of exposed wood, cowhide print upholstery, and cowboy themed carpeting. Still, the owners have done their best to redecorate and give it a Thai theme. This is Eastern Oregon, not Seattle or Portland.
The waitress was attentive and courteous (and did speak English). The food came quickly.

The menu is extensive, and the food is delicious. The portion sizes are generous and the prices are reasonable. Most items were $12 - $15 as of December, 2012. Restaurants in Hermiston tend towards, fast food, hamburgers and pizza. If you are in the mood for something different, I would ignore the negative reviews and try Taste of Thai.
