We have, over the years, tried Red Lobsters in many places. This one, for some reason that has to do with taste and value, is the best we ever visited. We were impressed by the freshness of the different foods, but mostly, for the amount they put in their dishes. I do not know if it was that day but they were in fine form. Perhaps the one dish that did not meet the challenge but still was not bad was the grilled lobster, and two kinds of shrimp which sold for almost $25. Everything else tasted very good and the left overs tasted even better at a later time. It is not my habit to praise franchises but this time the Red Lobster in Gresham, Oregon, did leave a very favorable impression.
Could it be that because Oregon has a lot of nice fresh fish it tasted better than most other Red Lobsters? We'll never know for we did not ask and left it at that. Even their Key Lime Pie was not too shabby.
Once you leave a restaurant and everyone agrees they had a very decent meal you have a winner and this place became the winner for us. Yes, I know it is a franchise, but for the money they did deliver a fine fare. Total for 4 people? $118+ before tip. Our server was very much in his place and in his best game and he got rewarded, I like to think, better than usual. 4 Stars and shinning at that!
