“Great place to stay!”
Reviewed May 5, 2013

After a plane ride and a 5 hour drive this was a beautiful and relaxing stop. The room was on the same level as a much more expensive hotel. We had a small balcony with a pretty view of the river. Breakfast was more than the usual free hotel breakfast and the staff was very friendly and helpful with directions.

We have had nothing but a perfect stay. The staff is accommodating, professional, and very knowledgeable of grants pass indoor and outdoor activities. Jake is the perfect example of this and is the man to see to have a great experience. The rooms are great! We will be sure to come back!

We just had one night in Grants Pass on our way to Napa. We read the reviews on Trip Advisor and decided to spend a little more and have some VIP lodging. The room we got did not face the river, but in the future I would opt for that upgrade as the river rooms had balconies with nice lounge chairs. The room itself was huge with hanging robes and Aveda toiletries.
Breakfast in an adjacent building included waffles, hot cinnamon rolls, fresh biscuits and gravy, Mighty Leaf Tea and delicious coffee. Much more was offered including hard boiled eggs, fresh fruit, bagels and yogurt. I wish we would have had more time because the lovely park just across the bridge (just steps away) looked inviting and the weather was lovely.
I am looking forward to staying here the next time we pass through town. By the way, we had an impressive dinner downtown at the Twisted Cork; with a high end menu at moderate prices. Both these Grants Pass establishments make for a winning experience!

Room Tip: If you have the opportunity to enjoy the balcony, opt for the river room upgrade

A colleague recommended The Lodge to my wife and me. The website along with an attractive internet room rate convinced us to give it a try. We were warmly and graciously welcomed by Katrina. We found our room and enjoyed an relaxing evening on the balcony overlooking the river. Our room was so comfortable and well appointed. Next morning, we woke up refreshed and enjoyed the breakfast prepared in the lobby. Aaron was so helpful as we checked out even though he was quite busy. The staff, accommodations, and setting were all beyond our expectations. We look forward to staying at The Lodge next time we travel through Grants Pass. Thank you!

Great rooms on the river, gated grounds to feel safe, small property, with a like home feel. Warm greetings from staff whom always go way above and beyond. My wife and I love this place! Just don't ask for room 214, its our fav and we selfishly want it!

Kudos to Katrina for finding last minute accommodations for us at The Lodge! We had checked into another hotel in Grants Pass and were very unhappy with the condition of that hotel (which was also under renovation during the dates we had scheduled). We have stayed at The Lodge before so we knew how nice it was but this trip our budget wasn't as flexible. Acknowledging our customer loyalty Katrina managed to find room for the remainder of our visit AND at a rate we could afford. I appreciate when management trusts their staff to make such concessions :).

Acknowledgement also to Jesse who was always cheerful and 'bustling' to accommodate guests during the generous continental breakfast offered each morning. We also wanted to buy The Lodge sweatshirt and two staff members searched every box in storage to find the size I needed...SUCCESS!

Oh, and I've never slept on a better bed than they have at The Lodge...I believe they are double pillow top, it's like sleeping on down filled! Thanks to all at The Lodge for making our trip much more enjoyable!

We just stayed for the second time at the Lodge at Riverside in Grants Pass, Oregon. We checked in on Thursday, March 21 and were greeted by a helpful young man who offered assistance with our luggage before we stepped foot in the lobby! Once in, Katrina at the front desk checked us in with a big smile and answered our many questions about the area and what was there to do. While we were enjoying our wine at the wine and cheese hour, she continued to answer questions with her suggestions about what she would do if she had a couple of days in Grants Pass and on the Oregon coast. Eric, the IT person for the hotel, was also great, helping us to find a property for our overnight trip to the coast the next day. Our overnight to the coast was great but we were looking forward to returning to the Lodge to finish our long weekend in Grants Pass the next night.

The Lodge at Riverside is a real treat - friendly, clean, intimate and up-to-date in every way!
