“Fabulous Hotel with Outstanding Customer Service”
Reviewed August 29, 2011

The room was large, updated and very clean. The hotel was was right on the Rogue River and its lodge setting unique for an urban setting. Obviously, management has made customer service a priority. My wife and I were VERY impressed and will stay again.

The room was very comfortable. The view from the room was great. Spent much time on the private deck admiring the beauty of the Rogue River. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The wine reception in the evening and the breakfast in the morning were hits. We definitely will return.

Room Tip: Room 207 was so comfortable and had great view of river.

----the bathroom needs to be brought above Motel 6 "standards". The sink would not drain and the shower was a classic "Candid Camera" setup (for those old enough to remember those takes).
We arrived late ( dark) after a long drive from Napa Valley through the redwoods and fog bound California coast, so missed the view upon entering the property. Our room was large and clean. Aside from the substandard (for the price) bathroom, it was very comfortable.
I have not stayed in Grants Pass in years and the last time we were there the river was more accessible from the motel we had. It appeared to be fenced from the Lodge property.
We apparently missed the wine tastings or cookies because of the late arrival as they were not mentioned. Breafast in a separate building compared favorably with Fairfield, Hampton, or HIE fare with very similar setups. Importantly, it was clean and inviting.

After many hours on the road this hotel hits the spot. The staff is extremely friendly and welcoming. Nikki and Jade made our check-in process quick, informative and pleasant.
Our room overlooked the river and park, it was a beautiful view. The room was large, spacious and clean. We took advantage of the complimentary wine tasting and had a lovely glass of Chardonnay. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone, it was very family friendly. We saw families with young children thoroughly enjoying the pool. The complimentary breakfast was served in a separate building and again the people were exceedingly gracious and friendly and the facility was very clean. I totally recommend this to any traveler looking for a nice place to stay in Grants Pass.

Room Tip: Get a river view. If you have swimmers the lower level would be great it is right next to the pool.W...

The room was great, the breakfast had more variety then any hotel I have stayed at before; there was wine in the afternoon and cookies and milk in the evening. Since we were there for a wedding our schedule was a bit heck-tick and we missed cookies and milk both evenings, since Brian new how excited my kids were about the whole cookies and milk idea, he put freshly baked cookies in our room for when we got back!! What a treat, we really felt special and very well taken care of there. I loved it and recommend it to all who are in Grants Pass Oregon!!

Room Tip: The upstairs rooms have a river side veiw with a deck.

actually we kind of stumbled across grants pass as well as the lodge at riverside by accident... we were tired from a long hike, had a pretty terrible hotel experience the night before in not-so-beautiful-crescent city - great cinema experience though! - and simply wanted to stay somewhere decent... and, well, decent the lodge at riverside definitely is! starting with very attentive and friendly staff - special mention to the great breakfast lady whose name we forgot (shame!) and to nicole from reception! - to the nice and big rooms, everything was kind of a real bliss. we stayed three nights in the end - and don`t let yourself be fooled by the road next door, you hardly hear it after a few minutes. we had a great time - including good food at taprock across the street and long chats with a nice bunch of apple mac guys at valley software midland and 6th! we`ll be back!

This place was very clean, room (we got a suite to fit in a rollaway) was spacious. We faced the pool, river and beautiful park across from the river. Would recommend a room on the 2nd floor for a better view. A little noisy in the morning because we could here the gate slam shut and people walking around. Place is cute and each room seemd to have a balcony or porch. found it funny that they did not serve Oregon wine at the afternoon wine and cheese. Served up Cali wine (boo, I wanted to try something from Oregon as I'm from Cali wine country). Kids loved the evening cookies. Could walk to the River park, Hells Canyon boat ride, and to the fabulous restaurant Taprock. It was nice not having to get into the car. Morning breakfast was very disappointing. It was skimpy. They would not replenish stuff until the last item was gone. It seemed really cheap, They should have kept it well stocked. Always felt like I was taking the last bagel or last waffle batter cup. Had to ask for hot water (all out), coffee was out, asked for waffle batter, cinnan. rolls gone. Hate to have to ask constantly, stop being cheap and just put enough food out.
Outside of the annoying breakfast, really liked this place, clean, and staff helpful.
