“beware dog owner”

Many restrictions here and labels everywhere with charges if you break their rules. We have been traveling along the Oregon Coast and we stayed in many hotels and this by far has the most rules! They don't have a grassy area for the dog but their dog designated area is open gravel area. I would not recommend to stay here at all. Bathroom is small and when we walked in they have a scented air freshener and after 10 minutes, I got a headache from smelling it.

What can I say.....I am a pretty avid hotel goer, but staying at a motel is generally a little more scary. I took the advice of some friends and found this motel to be an excellent choice. The room was spacious, the staff friendly, and everythings was so clean and neat. For a small town motel, I would definitely recommend this place - good rates too.

Apparently this is a "Motel" I guess as you can pull up to the room door it is but honestly it deserves a better description than a simple Motel.

The place is spotless in every detail. The owner must be a neat freak. Can not say enough good things about the place.

Complimentary continental breakfast, laundry etc. Great pool area too. Pool is not chlorinated either. The better salt type of water. Room as double sinks and plenty of good towels. Rooms are spotless too.

Thoroughly recommend this location for families. In fact for anyone.

Room Tip: No bad ones from what I can see.

Have stayed here several times over the years, and the cleanliness and staff have always been wonderful. This time, stayed in a "garden room". These rooms were remodeled the most recently. Unbelievable luxury in this little room. Nice furniture, double sinks, great tub/shower, stainless microwave & fridge, flat screen, etc. It's all new and all nice. Used the pool and hot tub which are in really nice shape. Somehow, the street noise is not a problem, even though it is on a rather busy street. This is a much nicer place than the many older motels (1950s) that have not been remodeled, than the newer cheaper ratty motels, and the generic huge motels up on I-5.

Room Tip: Patio rooms and garden rooms both great. You can call motel and ask which rooms were remodeled most...

We've stayed here a couple of times and all have been great experiences. I don't know why they call it a motel, it's more like a high end hotel, at least it feels that way. Grants Pass and surrounding Jacksonvile are excellent for food and wine, and the nearby Rogue provides some excitement to say the least. We stayed for three nights and I always looked forward to going home to the Redwood each night as a great place to chill and relax in what appear to be newly renovated rooms. The room we stayed in had a mini-kitchen where you can make your own food. Great gym too! Another highlight for our family was laying poolside staring up at those big Redwood trees whistling in the wind. Recommend this place without hesitation.

My husband and I recently stayed at the Redwood Motel for a wedding in the area. When we checked in they had us checking out 1 day earlier, but that was quickly fixed. We had a room facing the main drag and were a little concerned about noise, but that was never a problem. The room was large and it was nice to have a fridge and microwave in the room (there is a Safeway very close by where we stocked up on snacks and drinks). We were also impressed with how clean the room was. Breakfast in the lobby was great - a lot of variety. Also a quick drive to the G Street - the main part of downtown. Only hiccup we had, was after coming back from Crater Lake, neither of our room keys worked (maybe because they originally had us checking out that day?) and when we finally got into our room, it was not cleaned. Front desk staff immediately got us fresh towels and apologized profusely for the keys and room not being cleaned. Would totally stay here again and would recommend this motel to anyone heading to the area.

Ryan was really helpful in the evening. We were able to wash our camping laundry. The girls at the desk in the morning were also cheerful and helpful. Loved the quilt on our bed.
